One of the guys commissioned in my Navy year group 70 had a first name of "Colonel". His knickname was "Bud", but we all had fun using his given name at the "O" Club (we were wearing civvies, of course).

SSgt Bruce McClelland
Or call him Bud Colonel to sound like someone with a Southern accent saying "bird colonel".

SGT Alan Dike
GAL - Global address list its an email thing. I am constantly telling folks at work I'm the only Dike in the GAL. Yes, I was very much someone's own Private Dike. I avoided the Navy just because of Seamen Dike. Then there is always Rear Admiral Dike.. uhh.. nope. And had I gone officer core in the Army, I could have been CPT Dike, do I get a cape? Major Dike.. , General Dike? yeah.....

Although fictional, MAJ Jeffrey Frankart, I've always liked Major Major from the novel/movie Catch-22!

I'm sure I've seen some, but they escape my memory at the moment.
For a contrary example, I've seen a Ranger named Marine.

I met a CPT Morgan once. My friend and I told him he wasn't allowed to get promoted.
