It appears that El Chapo collected more than drug money, billions of it. He also collected exotic animals, stolen art, guns, and ammunition, lots and lots of ammunition. However, it is his collection of gold-plated guns that caught my eye. Can you imagine the distraction of the glare and reflections off the barrels and sights?

Capt Seid Waddell - Very familiar with them. We had some BEAUTIFUL guns with filigree come through my shop when I was still dealer. Duck's unlimited did a 6 rifle/shotgun transfer for an event once.... positively gorgeous wood and metal.

Capt Seid Waddell - I'm not a big duck hunter. The DU guns were a courtesy transfer more than anything. Gorgeous guns, and because they were part of a charity gig.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS, I have seen a lot of trophy guns too, but they are works of art rather than tools of the trade.

My dad is a Vietnam vet and when Colt sold those gold plated AR-15s with the Vietnam theme, he had to have one. The day it showed up, he took it to the range and some range ninja talked him out of shooting it. It sits in storage now.

TSgt Ralph Hetzel, exactly. That first shot would have destroyed much of its value.
