Many of us have one thing that really gets to us. I have to say that probably my biggest pet peeve (as it pertains to the military) are ill fitted ACU tops. I constantly find myself explaining to people how their uniform should fit.

What is your pet peeve?

I'd say open cargo pockets. The hands in pockets doesn't really bother me. If they don't want hands on them, then get rid of them

When people put their hands in their waist bands behind their backs or in the front waist band because they can't put their hands in their pocket....

Or driving or riding in a car with non regulatory head gear or improperly work headgear (redneck back)

Mine is this: AR and DA PAM 670-1 allows for tan, green or black socks.

I show up for a ruck wearing my tan socks and you'd imagine an alien invasion is happening by the way some seniors look at my boots.

While I agree with you on hands in the pockets, how about getting rid of the loose threads that are on this particular person's uniform first before putting it on? I was taught to do that first.

Hahaha, agreed. I didn't put the picture up, but once you find one thing wrong, there are more to follow.

How about those worthless assed cords on the cargo pockets? I pull mine out and cut them off along with the cord lock.

Boot laces sticking out. Not sure why but it never fails that I will see them sticking out from across the room.

My biggest pet peeve is being corrected for hands in the pocket. It's only happened once, but I find this enforcement of the rule the most annoying. I see higher ups do it all the time, but when a Joe does it, it's the end of the world.
I came in as a smart, older man. If your hands are cold, fix it! You have pockets! Use them! There is no reason to have cold hands if you can help it.
Common sense should be the rule, then the rules. Not the other way around.
