I never really thought about it honestly. Maybe I should come up with one.
I guess in a way although I never really say to too many people is "Never let them break you down!"
I will have to think of something catchy now.
Good Post!

Mine come from Zig Ziglar.....
- Soldiers more attention pay to what you do than what you say.
- You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want.

I have several different mottos that I live by. The first that came to mind was:
"Prepare for the Worst, but Expect the Best." This is how I try to do any planning, whether it be my Military career, or just the Family vacation.

Be good to people, and the majority of them will be good to you. There are charlatans, crooks, cheats, and general scum out there, and (GASP!) some of them have joined the military. However, be good to them too. This doesn't mean to be lenient; however, there is no reason to go around being a jerk. I have never yelled at a Soldier, and I don't plan on it anytime soon.
OCS taught me this. We had one cadre member, a CPT, who was a jerk all of the time. It didn't matter what the occasion; he was just a jerk. The other cadre weren't, and we learned a lot from them. I learned only two things from this particular CPT: 1) Avoid him like the plague and 2) Don't be him. I've been living my military life by that second point ever since.

I'm slightly surprised that no one has gotten the "We're the Millers" Movie reference I used to initiate this discussion.

I have often joked that as long as the Command will except my sown statement with nothing but the following: “I will always place the mission first, I will never except defeat” that I would do what is being asked. 99.999% of the time they get the idea and realize that what they are asking is wrong and the “good idea fairy” goes away.

Admit to nothing, deny everything.
Sometimes it really is not your fault and you really have no clue whats going on or what happened.
