What made you join the specific branch of the military you joined?

I've been asked many times why I joined the military, but rarely why I joined the Navy in particular. I joined the Navy mainly because they seemed to be tough enough for me to improve myself, and I always enjoyed being around water. Also, my step brother is currently a Lieutenant, having commissioned as a Mustang and I suppose I feel somewhat compelled to follow in his footsteps. So I ask you, what made you join your branch?

SCPO (Join to see) - That's pretty crazy Senior Chief. Out of curiosity, did you have to go back to boot camp for any of those changes?

PO2 (Join to see) - Nope, never did. I was what was referred to as "RQ'd," reserve qualified. I just signed on the dotted line and switched uniforms!!!

It wasn't a choice of which branch to serve as much as it was a calling. I was born to be a Marine.
