RP Members, Connections, and Friends I believe there are some really outrageous nicknames that have been handed out to some of you when you served in the Military. Lets' get them out there and don't be embarrased. Please share! This is one of those Posts that just keep giving over time. RP Members keep adding your nicknames.
Don't leave us hanging - share the story behind the nickname too!!
One of my many was: "Burly" and when I was a PFC/E-3 it was "Horse Collar!" Others I can't repeat from Basic Training - use your imagination!

I have previously shared that I was drafted and had a wife and 2 kids at that time. I completed my bachelors degree and was 3 months into my career when I was drafted. Among the BCT and AIT units, I was one of the older guys. I was deployed straight out of AIT and nothing changed when I went overseas. I was one of the older guys. As a result of being so old (23) they called me "Pops"

Beanpole, I was 6' 3" at 135# when arriving bootcamp. Gained 32# in boot so it changed to TDW, tall drink of water. When we got to A school and could wear civies it changed to Cowboy. Probably the Boots and Hat. After picking up Sergeant it was clackers or clickity (behind my back) (or so they thought) lol

Then Dark helmet when I was Repair Five locker officer on Laboon. The repair division painted a sound powered phone helmet black with the name "Dark Helmet" stenciled in while letters on the back. After we won the Battle E I had to wear it at GQ.

I was supposedly cursed by a satanic group we were investigating.
I was working on base with the vivilian Sheriff's Dept. It was a cooperative, interagency thing. COIN...Criminal Occult Investigations Network.
Anyway. We found military and civilians were involved. We raided an area outside of housing and arrested some people.
So. I get cursed going to the brig where we were going to hold them.
For the next year I had accidents....bad luck.
Captain Chaffee gave me the nickname and CSM Shultz made sure it stuck.
But I'm better now

Pusherman. "God-DAMN, the Pusherman!" Hardly anybody ever addressed me by rank and name. It was always Pusherman.

Some of the guys I served with were Sgt. Bob, Max, Killer, Evbo, Big Dave, Garzilla, Sandman, and Dug. Seems like only the real dicks or the officers were called by their regular names and ranks. Pusherman carried across the post. I had people I never seen in my entire life refer to me as Pusherman.
