What on earth is going on in America... I just don't understand what our President and Administration is doing... Nothing new, I often don't get it...

I hope he knows what he is doing and has a plan...

Sometimes it is best to keep my mouth shut and opinions to myself. But this does not surprise me.

As a Jew I have to say that Bibi is an ultra-conservative jerk. He needs to heed the axiom: Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. If the US & Iran can come to an agreement that de-escalates things a bit. If the Israelis would educate the Palestinians and have jobs for them, Israel would have a lot fewer enemies.

It just appears that POTUS is more energized and excited to to meet dictators and communists than leaders of free countries. If Che Guevara was still alive, he would
be invited to the White House, just saying.

What on earth is going on... The President will not meet with the leader of Israel, but meets with the Communist Party Leader of Vietnam...

Consider the source. Yes Vietnam is guilty of human rights violations. So isn't China and many other friends around the world. This is typical Fox sensationalism. Of course the President has a plan. He doesn't pull this stuff out of his fourth point of contact. I would suggest avoiding Fox News as you will not be encouraged to worry so much about our CINC.

I haven't heard a viable plan coming from any other quarter either. Don't be a fool. Who has a plan for defeating ISIS? What more can he do unless you are ready to put on your boots and it the ground there and do the heavy lifting. The President has indicated he has implemented a number of actions, but none of his advisors could suggest a viable comprehensive plan. It is a work in progress on a very cautious scale. His predecessor invaded Iraq without a coherent plan for the long term implications which is why we are in the shit today. This sounds like a plan to me: https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2015/07/06/remarks-president-progress-fight-against-isil

Quit being lazy and prejudicial and do your homework.

I agree we should always consider the source. We should consider every media source prejudicial so some extent, and seek primary sources where possible, or at least a breadth of secondary sources when a primary source isn't available.

COL Charles Williams - Makes no sense to me, but, of course, very little that President Obama and his Administration do make any sense to me. He simply shoots from the hip and is getting very bad advice from his advisors. Unfortunately, his actions are having a very detrimental effect on our country.

COL Jean (John) F. B. - That is straight up not true, Bush's relations with the world were horrific by the time his presidency ended.. .as for Isreal, they're making their own bed and need to lie in it.

LCpl Mark Lefler - I agree foreign relations were strained when Bush left office, but it was nowhere near what it is now. The current Administration has turned our foreign relations into shambles and we are a joke around the world. Not one thing Obama has done in the area of foreign relations has been good for our country ... not one. Just the opposite, his policies have threatened our security and destroyed decades-old relationships with allies, while giving strength to the positions and policies of our adversaries and those unfriendly to the USA.

While you are certainly entitled to your misguided opinion, you really need to take a look at what is really happening around you.

LCpl Mark Lefler - We will just have to disagree, which is OK.

Having lived in Europe for 23 years of my life (14 as a military family member and 9 on active duty), and having many friends and relatives in Europe (France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Spain and England) that I routinely correspond with, I can tell you that you are mistaken about our relations with Europe being better under Obama than they were under Bush. That is simply untrue.

And, no, I am not "blindly conservative"... Conservative, yes; blind, no. You obviously need to watch something other than MSNBC and the other biased liberal media, which are nothing more than an extension of the Obama White House Press Office. While I do watch Fox News most of the time, I also occasionally watch CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, and even MSNBC, on occasion. I also watch BBC and read daily news reports from papers in Great Britain and France.

I respect your opinion, but, as I said, I disagree with it and I think the facts support my opinion.

For some reason, this made me think of TJ's inaugural address, which includes, "Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations-entangling alliances with none." I think Obama SHOULD meet with the leader of Vietnam, but he should also meet with the leader of Israel. The personalities of the leaders, whether Netanyahu or Putin, are something he should deal with, as a part of his job. The US too often plays favoritism based on personality of the leader rather than what the US's relationship with that nation can provide the US (RealPolitic), and Obama has just highlighted his personal failure to meet that responsibility to the American people.

Col Joseph Lenertz - Yeah, duh! That was when Bibi and our Republican friends wanted to embarrass Obama. Of course he was not going to meet with Bibi before the Israeli elections. That has nothing to do with what is being alleged. Please people, do your homework.

I'm not trying to be contentious here, I just thought there were reasonable sources that mentioned the snub. The claim was made that there was no mention of the snub in any reputable news source. I only provided a source. Again, I can't ascribe motive for the Republicans in Congress or for the President.

We are talking about two different issues here. Let's back up and regroup. The first assertion is that Obama refuses to meet with Bibi until after the Iran talks which is different from when he actually refused to meet with Bibi when Congress invited him to speak. I have found nothing to support the Iran talks assertion. BTW-that article was published in Rapture Forums. Now there's a group that has lost reality at some point in their history.

I guess your forgetting when the leader of Israel spoke in front of congress but didn't meet with the president. Meeting with the leaders of Nam is more of a military protection issue in reference to a bigger threat in China.

A better question is, why does no contingency operational planning exist to remove a domestic enemy who managed to infiltrate the Executive Branch.
