SFC William H. - It was what it was. I was a little floored when some of the others in my bay asked me why I didn't say anything about that day being my birthday.

SFC William H. - Yea, it was already a "fun filled" day that I really didn't want to add to all the "excitement."

I commanded A Co, 5th Bn, 3d BCT Bde from Mar 85 to May 87. I think they changed Unit designations around 88-89. I bet your orderly room was 2 doors from mine.

1981, Co. 177, RTC/NTC San Diego, next door to MCRD. I was 18. GMG1 Wend from The Bronx was my company commander. That's where i learned how versatile the f-word could be.
NTC closed in 1993, now known as Liberty Station. Has shopping, restaurants, education , hotels, military and civilian housing areas, and a golf course. SD did a great job with it.
