Army ROTC commissions 100% of it's graduates, about 15% are not selected for Active Duty and commission into the reserves, GPA being the key factor on the Order of Merit List. Branch Selection is a completely separate matter, Branch being Armor, Engineer, Quartermaster, or finance.

COL (Join to see) - it fluxes from year to year, somewhere between a 2.5 and 3.0 depending on the needs of the Army.

COL (Join to see) - The Army needs leaders not intellectuals. No brilliant plan has ever motivated Soldiers to risk their lives in combat, only leadership does that, however I once remember a CAV officer arguing and pulling rank on me, the engineer, about how much weight a bridge could hold, as somehow his rank gave him specific knowledge about a bridge classification, in the end he drove around.

COL (Join to see) - National OML is based on GPA, APT, and Military Grades (ROTC)... GPA being about 55% and little more STEM programs. OML determines service component, branch of choice, and 1st duty station (for active duty). The % of active duty fluctuates based on needs of the Army. AG, Finance, MSC always go fast for some reason... not many slots, then the top 40% are usually Aviation, Infantry, MP, Engineer, Armor, MI. If you are below 40%.... of your group... you can bet on the rest.

Army is always higher, as the cut lines are a little lower, and because the Army is the biggest ROTC commissioning program.

The Army being the largest branch of the US Armed Forces that makes perfect sense. anyway as they would need a larger number of people.
