There are a ton of great songs about military life, that reference the military in some way; some of the more modern works may have a video associated with it, and some of the older classics continue to define the military experience to this day. From country to rock, ballads & pop, to more traditional flavors--did a particular song inspire, educate, or simply strike a chord with you? It reflecting on the grave of a 19-year-old who died in 1916/World War I... Alludes to being set in a cemetery in Northern France. It gets me misty every time I hear it.
I grew up listening to it and never knew what it truly meant until I joined the military.
