There are a ton of great songs about military life, that reference the military in some way; some of the more modern works may have a video associated with it, and some of the older classics continue to define the military experience to this day. From country to rock, ballads & pop, to more traditional flavors--did a particular song inspire, educate, or simply strike a chord with you? Please feel free to share any inspiring military-related music, any music or songs that makes you think of/or reminds you of your military service, as well as any links, photos, descriptions or anything that helps you tell your story. The idea here is to have a fun and thought provoking discussion, which will be fun, informative, and provide a means to tell our stories... and to learn about one another as well as our sister services in the process. Wishing you all the best, I look forward to hearing from you, and interacting with you all in the threads!

It is an Irish song called, "The Green Fields of France (Willie McBride/No Man's Land)".

It reflecting on the grave of a 19-year-old who died in 1916/World War I... Alludes to being set in a cemetery in Northern France. It gets me misty every time I hear it.

I grew up listening to it and never knew what it truly meant until I joined the military.

There are many versions, but this is the one that I love the most.

John Horton's "Battle of New Orleans"

Adding Jean Lafitte's "Pirate Privateers" makes it historically correct.
By the way, blah blah blah in LEGO !
