One thing I do want to stress PFC (Join to see) is be careful what you post about the President when in uniform. I not saying anything negative about this post, I am just giving advice. It is not our job as a US Military Member to say or do anything about the President. He or She is our Commander-in-chief and we are their to carry out our orders that are presented in front of us.

Capt Gregory Prickett - You do know I am a reservist too? And I will not post anything that reflects my views of our Commander-in-chief while in uniform or out. Just posting and berating our commander-in-chief on social media just looks wrong and reflects poorly on the military as a whole.
Now you are correct as a civilian he or I can say whatever we won't. But we do have training about such things as well and their are certain rules we have to follow even out of uniform.

PFC Joe Fugo not exactly sure what your talking about. I don’t have any feelings whatsoever for any past presidents.

Have no angst. If anyone wants to post about the current Creepy Joe just send me a message. I'm retired and my uniform is hanging up with pride.

SFC Michael Hasbun - Biden has some very interesting mental issue's, but he is just a figure head and Harris will take the helm and America will become a shit hole third world country!

It's not the Gender that matters, it's the skill set. Most Women for the most part are smarter and quicker than Men. What they lack in physical presence they make up for in their wiley ways. You are seeing more and more women in law, politics, and corporate flowcharts taking on the positions once reserved for men. It's the Women going after gun laws, and they are deteremined to change them in spite of the 2nd Amendment. Just listen to talk radio out of SF and you here them making their plans.

HN Sheldon Nadler - Harris can't become President, she's not a Natural born Citizen, the next President will be Crazy Nancy Pelosi, by virtue of being Speaker of the House. Why do you not realize the reasoning behind making Harris the VP. This is the whole Plan from the get go. So when the 25th amendment is invoked, it'll be President Pelosi....Then let's see how all you leftest loving voters feel about her as the Commander-In-Chief!!!!!

Not sure what to expect, but pretty sure what NOT to expect . . . Having had a son who served, I'm pretty sure if Putin puts another bounty on our Brothers' & Sisters' heads in Afghanistan, don't expect Biden to be mute about it . . . And if it's raining when it's time to visit a military cemetery, don't expect Biden to wimp out cuz he doesn't want to get his hair messed up . . . Also don't expect him to refer to our Fallen as "losers and suckers" . . . Just a guess . . .

You all keep bring up Putin and trump, why is that?
It's already been proven many times that the steel dossier was bought and paid for by Hillary and crew.
Trump gave the green light on us killing over 200 Russian para-military forces that attacked our base in the ME.
Bidens son was caught red handed in bed with the ukrainians, the "big man", biden, had to have his cut. He dangled military aid over the ukrainians head until they fired the prosecutor who wanted to go after hunter.
As biden would say, "come on man".

Hey there, SSG . . . I know that U truly believe all that U are saying, because that's the story-line that U've been fed by the media that U choose to listen to . . . (Either that or U're just a slimy troll) . . . And because of that fact (that U truly believe in what U're saying), I'll tell U like I tell all my Trumper buds . . . I wholeheartedly respect your right to hold whatever belief(s) U so choose, no matter how erroneous it/they might be . . .
That being said, allow me to address some of the specific points U raised . . . (And let me say that I do so knowing, as I've experienced this with many Trumpers in the past, that what I say will make no difference to U . . . U folks typically only accept as "True" the Alternative Facts fed to U by your Conservative media . . . That same Conservative media that is now having their pants sued off of them for all the lies they shoveled about election fraud . . . But even though they have all had to go back and say, "Yeah, we lied about that crap," U all still believe there was massive fraud, which just goes to prove what the Nazis used to say, "A lie told enough times becomes the truth" . . . But, I digress . . .)
U say the Steele dossier was paid for by Hillary & Co. . . U do, of course, realize that's only a half-truth? It was originally commissioned and paid for BY REPUB OPPONENTS TO TRUMP IN THE PRIMARIES . . . It was handed off to Dems when Trump became the nominee? (So, were U ignorant of that fact, or are U just trying to spew debunked talking points?)
U say Trump gave green light to attacking Russians . . . U do, of course, realize that U've just given us a classic example of what's call "deflection"? That's when someone makes a point that U have no counter for, and so U change the subject . . . I mentioned how Trump was mute when intel showed Putin had put out and paid out bounties on our Brothers and Sisters in Afghanistan, and U cite one anti-Russian act that he did to counter that, while ignoring a whole four years of kissing Putin's butt? (Four years of butt-kissing like 1) trying to get Russia back into the G-8, 2) agreeing to pull (many of) our Troops out of Germany, 3) constantly attacking Putin's Number One enemy = NATO, 4) trying to hold up aid to the country Russia was attacking (Ukraine) until his blackmail scheme could work cuz he knew Biden had what it takes to kick his butt in the election, 5) I could go on, but hopefully U get my point.) Seriously???
U say Biden was in bed with the Ukrainians . . . U do, of course, realize that that conspiracy theory has been investigated and debunked by all credible news sources, right? U think maybe there was a reason none of his Dem rivals in the primaries brought up that BS? Because they have enough sense not to listen to Conservative media . . . U think maybe there was a reason Durham, who was supposed to be investigating Biden, came up empty-handed before the election? U think maybe there was a reason Giuliani, who was supposed to be investigating Biden, came up empty-handed before the election?
So, yeah, I know U believe that stuff U're shoveling is true, so believe on, my Brother . . . That is one of the beautiful things about our Country . . . Fairy Tales have a long shelf-life in America . . .

Stop watching the Fake News, You actually believe the lies and lies and lies that the news is reporting to rile up the members of the military. I'd place my life on the fact that the whole Bounty on the US troops is a made up lie from the Media and probably Pedi Joe himself.

It does not matter who the Commander in Chief is, you swore an oath to uphold the constitution, to protect our country from all enemies foreign and domestic and tofollow all lawful orders given by those appointed above you. That never changes. You may have your political opinion but politics has no place in your honoring your oath of allegiance. You are a soldier for as long as you wear that uniform.

I never forgot my oath and still go by it even though I am retired. You join the military, leave your politics at the door!

So when the Constitution is stripped of The Bill of Rights, what will we be defending? When does a interpretation of the Constitution fail the litmus test of what is to be defended? In 1776 the politics were not left at the door. Patriots created a Free nation by declaration, and wrote a Political Constitution. There was never a disengagement, holding your tongue in opinion is okay in policy. But in reality it does not win hearts and minds. Actions speak louder.

1SG James Kelly - They aren't liberals. Liberals stand for liberty, freedom, and individualism. Those are progressives. Look I can't stop you from calling race baiting America hating collectivists liberal, but they really aren't liberal. Liberal Republicans freed the slaves. Yes, Lincoln was a liberal. When we fought against Nazi Germany, there were 3 major ideologies: liberalism, fascism, and communism. We were fighting for liberalism, however, our universities, media, and government has since been infiltrated by socialists/communists and they use the ministry of truth to make progressives do what they want (destroy america). We were able to defeat fascism, but we didn't defeat communism.

1SG James Kelly - They shouldn't though. We literally have words for these people. "Regressive progressives" and "commies". There is no reason to call them by a title that was used to describe the people who freed the slaves in America. They are the ones who wanted to keep slaves and even started segregation. They deserve to be called what they are: progressive or communist (pending which one they are) or just collectivist if you want to lump em all together.

You shouldn't "expect" anything, but I won't be surprised if, after two years of $5T budgets and massive money printing, inflation, and being over leveraged, seeing the opportunity, China makes a hard play on Taiwan, or Saudi Arabia makes a move on Iran. I also won't be surprised if we get involved. Beyond that, expect the military to become ground zero for the federal government's diversity experiment, where identity and inclusion are much more important than the mission.

I suggest you chill with that language coastie. This is a forum for adults in the military to discuss issues affecting them. Since you're not, and never have been, in the military, your opinion is as useless as it is unremarkable. Since you lack reading comprehension, I'll point out what you missed: "Identity and inclusion are much MORE IMPORTANT THAN the mission." I didn't say those things are unimportant, I said to expect that a Biden administration will change our mission focus FROM readiness TO diversity. Unfortunately, I was more correct than I even thought possible. You needn't worry about bigotry, "here we are all equally worthless."

SA Wayne Chapin - The military should ALWAYS be a meritocracy. Equal opportunity? With no qualification, restriction, or limitation; totally. The equal outcome; like steering promotions to get more minorities or more women promoted is not right.
Make the system FAIR and then let merit WIN; we have to FIGHT and WIN our nations WARS. Don't throw platitudes at me about how inclusive or diverse the Military is or is not.
Military Action is the last resort because it means DESTRUCTION, LOST LIVES, and DEATH. If you are not the best at it, find something else to do.

A new war with in 6 to 8 months, extremely higher taxes for all, high unemployment, and general destruction of the American constitutional republic.

After Biden is brushed aside the liberals will have full rein and after 4 years the military will be a shell of itself

Nonsense! No president can claim credit or get the blame for military spending all on their own. Congress passes appropriation bills that the president then signs into law. Congress has just as much of a role in military spending. Obama’s second-term budgets were subject to spending caps under the Budget Control Act of 2011, an effort to lower federal deficits. Beginning in fiscal 2013, Congress has raised those caps every year, according to a Congressional Research Service report, and there have been much larger cap increases in the last three defense budgets signed by Trump.

Well lets see, under Clinton massive cuts in funding, lil to know pay rasies. Under Obama- cuts to replacement programs and funding.

Capt Gregory Prickett -
Year by Year DOD/Military Pay. https://www.navycs.com/charts/
Looks like Trump had bigger raises.
Military Raises:
2009 3.9% Bush
2010 3.4% Obama
2011 1.4%
2012 1.6%
2013 1.7%
2014 1.0%
2015 1.0%
2016 1.3%
2017 2.1% Obama (1.69 Avg)
2018 2.4% Trump
2019 2.6%
2020 3.0%
2021 3.1% Trump (2.75 avg)
Inflation was a negligible overall difference between Trump and Obama. Some would argue that Civilian pay went up faster under Trump and created a bigger gap. I find that funny, because Who would give Trump credit for anything.

I guess I would add that Congress gets a vote....so the President does not dictate the RAISE. I think the House is responsible for initial budget submission...even though they often abdicate that to the Executive.
