What suggestions do you have for renaming DoD installations honoring Confederate officers?

Name them after battlefields, and past wars besides the Civil War....NO names of generals or soldiers...

Ft Benning to Ft. Patton

Fort Floyd needs to be in there somewhere!

Change Ft Hood, to Ft Benavidez, after CSM Roy Benavidez, MOH RECEPIANT

I have a couple...Ft Benning- Audie Murphy. Ft Bragg- Gavin . Ft Stewart- sherman

Name them after famous chinamen, Biden will approve of that.

I am suggesting that renaming the DOD and other government buildings after Medal of Honor recipients from the Viet Nam, Desert Storm, Iraq Freedom, and Afghanistan Armed Conflicts. Those great leaders will be replaced by those who gave all that we may be free.

This is a sad state of affairs for the Army, capitulating to whining morons, however, if it has to be, then I agree with naming them after MoH recipients.

I am an advid follower of the American Civil War. This topic gets me hot under the collar however i believe at the minimum they should be reviewed. I feel and argument can be made to consider changing a few. Example Ft Benning, he never served the US Army same with John Gordon and Edmund Rucker. Now an argument can be made that Gordon was a US Senator and GA governor thats why the Fort is named after him. Benning on the other hand was a lawyer and Rucker a railroad businessman. All the rest Lee, Hood, Beauregard, Bragg, Hill, Polk, and Pickett all served in the US Army some with distinction prior to the Civil War. I think u have to take that into consideration when trying to change a name. Now if u want to name after MOH recipient's I am ok with that. I would prefer an MOH recipient fron that era but naming a southern Army base after a Northern MOH recipient may stir the pot a little some folks still hold a grudge. I don't think there is an answer that will make everyone happy here.
