One mans traitor is another mans hero. I'd almost be willing to bet that over 90% of the people stationed at these installations had absolutely no idea who they were named after until someone told them unless they were a major military history buff. I'm going to leave the slavery part out of this for the moment because we all know that was wrong and needed to be ended, or at least I hope we do and was historically a very small part of the reason the war started. "States Rights" federal power versus sovereign state power, Different commercial interests in the North and South, Culture Clash - Different lifestyles of the North and South, city life versus farm life, Growth - Rapid entrepreneurial path in the North, slower rate in the south, Social Reformation - Sparked by the Christian revivalist movement referred to as the Second Great Awakening, Political Parties - The emergence of new political parties, such as the Republican Party, and Reform Movements - The emergence of reformist societies such as the Abolitionist Movement calling for the Emancipation of slaves all lead up to the outbreak of the war. Were they traitors by definition yes, absolutely. Were they great military minds worth studying, especially in the case of Lee, there's no doubt about it. And while they were indeed traitors at the time, On December 25, 1868, President Andrew Johnson issued Proclamation 179 which was a final proclamation granting full pardon and amnesty for the offense of treason “to every person who, directly or indirectly, participated in the late insurrection or rebellion.” So I guess the question that should be asked is why rename installations all of the sudden? Johnson with his pardon has taken treason off the table, have we suddenly found new facts that made what they did so bad that Johnson's proclamation should be ignored? Or because some have suddenly have had their feelers hurt because someone told them they should be offended by the installation names?

Why nit leave the name Fort Lee remain and reference a different general, General Charles Lee.
Charles Lee for whom Fort Lee, NJ was named, was a general in the American Revolutionary War and aided in the defense of New York City.

Since we are going with the idea that it is happening no matter what and we shouldn't question that, let's go with
- Fort Submission
- Fort Surrender
- Fort Fear
- Fort Politically Correct
- Fort Amnesia
et cetera..

Ft Bragg should be named Ft Soft Landing
Ft Benning should be named Ft Follow Me.
Any name selected must be vetted to not offend anyone.
