None, Some of them were not bad people, they were people defending their homes against a government that was taxing them to death. (Freeing the Slaves was not the reason for the Civil war though it was a good outcome) Technically Lincoln broke the law by declaring war with out congress's approval and violated law by ignoring sovereign state rights. All this is a moot point. This rename and erase history is BS.

Change them from their current name to their current name. Otherwise, leave them alone.
No matter what they change them to I will always refer to them by the names they have carried for literally generations of all ethnic backgrounds of soldiers.
If they really must change then change them to the name of the MoH recipients as has been suggested before.
After we honor those brave souls by renaming a base after them, we should hang our heads in shame for allowing our heritage and history to be erased by an ignorant, super minority of politically correct crusaders that have no clue of the true history of the American Civil War.
They will simply continue to hunt for more things to be offended by and to force change simply because they want it, not because it accomplishes anything beyond trying to bury our history.

Audie Murphy, a Texan who fought for this country should be honored not Hood!

Fort Hood should be renamed for Medal of Honor recipient, Master Sargent Roy Benevidez a Texan who proudly and honorably served in Vietnam with distinction.

Ft Hood needs to be closed that place kills more than the enemy lol. I worry about my Brother in the Army every time he has to go there for training.

Take the names on the Valley Forge Muster Roll, write them on slips of paper, place them in a container positioned so they are invisible to those choosing and let 10 Army Brats aged 6 to 10 pick a name each. Then let's get a little pool going on how many seconds will elapse before someone is offended by one of those names.

There are plenty of military members who have been awarded the MoH. Throw their names in a hat and start picking.
