What suggestions do you have for renaming DoD installations honoring Confederate officers?

this is bs. the confederacy is part of American history & is just as important as honest Abe who had slaves himself. this woke military is not one i am proud of! it is an embarrassment to those who lived, breathed and died for this nation!!!

if you really want to rename them, why don't start with Stalingrad, which is what this country is becoming!!!

leave them alone...congress made all confederate soldiers and sailors
US veterans along time ago,,they were far closer to that war than we are ...if they can get passed it, who the hell are we to judge?!

I have made a similar recommendation for statues. I present it, here, for installations.

Every installation named after a Confederate General should be hyphenated to include the Union General (or other person, see A. P. Hill) who defeated him. Thus, the list would be as follows:
Fort Bragg-Slocum
Fort Rucker-Howard
Fort Benning-Custer
Fort Gordon-Wilson
Fort Hood-Thomas
Fort Polk-Howard
Fort A.P. Hill-Mauck
Fort Belvoir: Belvoir was not a Confederate General, it was a plantation name
Fort Lee-Grant
Fort Pickett-Meade

"The Base Formerly Known As Fort Bragg"
"The Base Formerly Known As - Fort Rucker"
-"The Base Formerly Known As Fort Benning"
-"The Base Formerly Known As Fort Gordon"
- "The Base Formerly Known As Fort Hood"

When I see these installations, there is no connection to any part of the Confederates; But what they have become by themselves. Fort Bragg - Special Forces, Fort Rucker - Amry Aviation, Fort Benning - Airborne, Fort Hood - The Cav, etc. Take Woke out the Armed Forces. This starts at the Top.

the question should be why do we want to change names of these bases? why do we want to change history? guess the answer is we want to repeat history so lets forget what we have learned and do it again. rather a stupid idea but for the sake of WOW, NOW , WOKE, BLM and lets not for get the WLM also and all the others we need to destroy these men, names and symbols. as we re-name all the Bases need to rename them after our great Black leaders in this country. i am not racist but really getting pissed at please me because i am minority and your god knows how many greats in the grand daddy field were slave owners. we have to be rectified and justified with destroying history. as we rename all the Bases, lets destroy all the history books also and of course we are doing a good job destroying monuments. Washington and Lincoln and Jefferson monuments must go also. if we are going down this path then we must not stop at nothing to completely destroy history in America. our children can start a new history lesson every day. no old history to see so lets do new history . does any one who reads this really see what i am trying to say or am i way out in left field. just a thought for the 4th but then again why do we celebrate the 4th or any other holiday. HISTORY?? .

Why don't we rename them all after Negro Americans in support of Antifa and the BLM. After all if it hadn't been for the pressure from BLM, Antifa, and associated organizations such as the NAACP there wouldn't have been the rioting and destruction in our cities that encouraged the Democrats and Company to succumb to the savagery of the rioters and "peaceful" (YEAH, SURE) "protestors" in the streets.

The uncivilized savages who are tearing down Confederate statutes are the real criminals and traitors. And if the Democrats were civilized and devoted to America they would have arrested the PIGS and thrown them in JAIL for sedition, rioting, and destruction of property, but the Democrats hate America as much as BLM and Antifa.
