What suggestions do you have for renaming DoD installations honoring Confederate officers?

Leave then alone. Embrace U.S. History and quit trying to sanitize it to be politically correct. Nothing about preparing for war during times of peace and protecting our country is politically correct.

Soldiers are going to be saying, "I'm stationed at Fort Liberty formerly fort Bragg". I'm stationed at fort Novosel formerly Fort Rucker". I'm on X formerly Twitter!!! You may call it by its new name but you will always refer to its former name. It's going to take at least a generation or two for that to change! After the changes, all those involved can sit around and talk about "Remember that time when we voted for Joe?" Just more foolish liberal thinking!

MY Honest Opinion, no one gave a Rats Ass about the Military base name, or the Democratic party Civil War Hero Statues, though out the south, until someone in the Democratic party, & the Democratic party Propaganda machine, (the American News Media) decide these Southern Democratic war heroes names was a Threat to the Democratic party pollical power & wealth. somehow. why are these names a threat to the Democratic party? lets see here what I believe, K-12 Gov Run Schools no longer teach American history, & it no longer required in many colleges & Universities, some of the Democratic pollical elites feared someone might stop and read the names on these Statues, then take the time to use there smart phones, to look up there history and find out they were all Registered Democratic pollical elites, then the citizen might take it one step further and found out not one single registered Republican party member every own a slave, and that the Republican party was started as the Anti Slavery party, and it was the Democratic party upon Abraham Lincoln election, that attempted to Assassinate a newly elected President, before he was able to take office , when that failed the Democratic party Seceded from the UNION, IN ORDER TO FIGHT A CIVAL WAR in the name of states rights, TO KEEP SLAVERY ! the number of American citizens that do not know there own American history, or the History and Evil acts that the Democratic party is Astounding. the evil acts that the Dem party has committed though out the American history to keep power, wealth, and slavery, is just pure evil, when the Dem party lost the Civil war, they started the KKK TO IMPOSE VERBAL AND PHYSICAL Violence AGANIST ANY AMERICAN CITIZEN WHO OPENLY DISAGREED WITH THE DEM PARTY POLTICAL POLICYS & AGENDA OR DEM CANADATES , it was the Dem party that passed the 1st Gun Control Laws to prevent newly freed slaves from defending themselves from the Dem Party KKK Members, Imposed Segregation throughout the South, packed the courts to ensure Segregation was found constitutional with the judges justifying it by saying equal but separate was just fine, in the early 1900 it was Dem President Woodrow Wilson, who restarted the KKK, Imposed Segregation though out the Federal Gov, opposed civil rights, imposed Jim crow laws though out the south, opposed the woman's right to vote, the list is long, etc etc, etc, the Dem party is the Oldest Bigoted, sexist, Racist pollical party in American History, this is why the Dem Leadership are demanding these name changes, no one cared about any of this, Until the Dem Party Propaganda machine ie:( American News Media) told there supporters to care to get angry, tear them down. !

I think the snowflakes should be sent to Iran for a year or ten and find out what freedom really means. Those bases offended no one. Suck it up buttercup.

The left wing woke government can name the bases and forts whatever they want, and we can refer to them whatever we want. I believe as soon as this left-wing government is replaced in 2024 it will reinstate their original names. Now for the uninformed yahoos, the Congress declared all Confederate soldiers and sailors as US Veterans. So, what's the issue? These Confederate were not selected based on politics or race, but on military performance and to allow the South to honor its heroes (part of President Lincoln's reconciliation and reconstruction policy). New installations can be named for current folks who deserve the honor based on their military performance.
