Why is the Army caving to the Cancel Culture? Renaming them isn't going to erase hurt feelings. All this does is make the hate and discontent people emboldened to push for more and larger targets. What's next? The Battlefield of Gettysburg? They have to take out ALL and everything that mentions the CSM Army?
Yes. It's going to happen. And the waste of taxpayers money to change every thing on each post taking down the old names and adding the new names. Brilliant. Just brilliant. Durka durka.

In my opinion they should be changed to Generals of World War 2. Patton, Eisenhower, Bradly, MacArthur, Chanult, and many more. If one desired one could choose a General from that state to name the bases in those states.
I understand why they named those bases after those generals but I do not believe that it holds today. Make no mistake these people were traitors. They took up arms against the legitimate government and killed fellow Americans. They did not agree with the decision of the people and rebelled. By any measure they were and are traitors and set a bad example.

Here are some suggestions. You will notice they are towns or cities around each of the forts. These have history too and are probably Politically charged in their own way. It doesn't matter what you rename them to they will always be politically charged in some fashion. Most people don't know the history of each of these facilities till they look on Google. That's when they get upset. Someone is always offended no matter what is done.

There is a reason why they were named in Honor of an individual. Maybe if they did a bit of research it would explain everything! Just my thought.

Here is my biggest concern about renaming Federal Installations; just because an individual was either born North or South of the “Mason Dickson line” does not mean their beliefs are any different. “Confederate” Armies believed their way of life, which lasted for many years, was their right to defend it. Northern Armies believed that the Southern way of life were “evil,” wrong, and immoral. Either way how can we take away ANY individuals strength of beliefs? The Southern Commanders should be honored as well as Northern Commanders for their willingness to end their own lives. Stop this WOKE crap finally!
