What suggestions do you have for renaming DoD installations honoring Confederate officers?

leave it the way it stands you can't change the past just by getting rid of or changing a name, history is history what's done is done best thing to do is learn from it, if you change it does change what happened? nope because it still happened, the names are fine why is such a big deal that the names have to be changed are you trying to punish the dead by removing theirs names off of history? sorry that's not how it works, just leave names and places alone its not hurting a thing except those who need a cause to be angry at such things because they can't find anything else to be angry about. the only thing I gotta say is stop and quit needing a reason to wanna be angry and hating on everything you don't agree with, knowing, learning, and understanding the past is how we make things better for the future not changing everything and discarding the past, what are we all going to learn from if we toss out the past and history, I'll tell you we repeat the past in new and worse ways than before. think about it.

Congress can't even pass a budget much less come up with fair and just names for Military Posts. Maybe we should call them Fort and the name of the state they are in. Lets name the white house the Presidents office. Then Congress. Want to office. Then Senate. I don't think so office.

Sam Houston owned slaves will they change the name of fort Sam Houston? George Washington owned slaves. Will the nations capital be renamed as well as the state? Louisiana was a hub for slavery shipping into the americas. Will we rename the state? Will George Washington university be renamed? Will the the democrat party be renamed because as you well know they supported segregation and slavery. It can go on forever.

A total waste of money.

It's a mistake to change the names of Military Bases just to Satisfy a few Sore Heads, it should NEVER HAPPEN, but what I know, it's a travesty to rename the Military Bases, but if it should happen, it should be put up for a VOTE of those MOH soldiers, Eddie Murphy, for an example Eddie was probably the youngest MOH to have earned the MOH and it would be a HONOR for his name be included and there countless of others who should be named and considered Past and Present

How about medal of Honor people.

Imagine if we deleted every person from history who had skeletons in their closet. History books would be blank.
