PO3 James Heine - In post-military civilian employment, I used to tell presumptive co-workers that their "karma" would bite them in their ass. MANY had the attitude, "I am OWED this job," based on the mere fact they showed up for work with no intent of exceeding expectations.
Indeed, after I left, the entire department was contracted out and their pensions (401k) were unfulfilled and their immediate futures severely damaged, at least financially.

SSG Bill McCoy - And I also was implying the discharge type. I knew a guy in my state who got an Other Than Honorable (OTH) which is between General and Bad Conduct. He got it on purpose by going UA (AWOL) too many times. He couldn't get state unemployment benefits because of it. He did get a job in construction but he quit after a few months because he hated it. Later that year he married a 'rich bitch' and that's the last I've heard from him. That was over 30 years ago, maybe that 'rich bitch' divorced him or something by now. Who knows?

neighborhood watches, check often not one time a day, but around the clock, sleep with 1 eye open and then change eyes if first gets tired, sleep very light, look, listen, learn .. be tactful in your method(s) of securing, watching and stay safe, and be careful .. good advice
