SGM David W. Carr LOM, DMSM MP SGT 35 years ago, I was an Infantry 2nd LT on my way to be stationed in Bamberg, FRG with the 1st BN 52nd Infantry Regiment. The previous spring I had graduated from USMA West Point, NY.

SGM David W. Carr LOM, DMSM MP SGT - Yes I did, I am still in contact with many of my classmates including many of the women. Most of our communication is via email but some is on facebook where we have a class page.

COL Charles Williams, the Alabama National Guard now occupies and maintains the northern half of old Fort McClellan. They completed an exterior renovation of the WAC Chapel and will renovate the interior next. They really did a nice job and it looks better now than it ever did when Fort McClellan was fully operational.

LTC Stephen C. - it looks like a great renovation to bad that they won't take the proper procedures to clean up all the toxin and chemicals that made there way into ground and water supply from years of dumping and unsafe practices. Far too many of us have had cancer and Nuerological conditions.

My family lived near West Point back then. Although no one was in the military in our family yet, my mother took the day off work to greet them in the large crowds. I should have taken the day off from school.
