If you want to go active duty that you have to talk to an active duty recruiter. They can tell you what class seats are available.

Speak to your retention NCO and they should be able to point you in the right direction to get a packet started

It’s a 4187,368 and a letter of why you are wanting to leave the Reserves then you will get w your recruiter and see what jobs are available. More than likely you will get the Needs of the army rather than want you want but it depends on your rank but also the needs of the army.

It’s been a while since I was a recruiter, but it used to be that the only way a reservist could come active duty was in the same MOS, unless their current MOS was over strength. The army doesn’t like paying to train you for something different when they’ve already spent over $60k to train you to do the first job you picked.

The first step is to talk with your Army Recruiter. They can help you with the DD 368 (Conditional Release) and coordinate with your unit and higher HQ to bless off on it. Keep in mind that once the 368 is approved, you will have anywhere between 3 to 6 months to switch to Regular Army.
