So this CSM from the the 8th MP BDE seems to be out of regulations. From the comments she has been corrected but she claims she is being harassed. I don't even understand how she got to be a CSM at a BDE. What COL out there is letting this happen? In one of the photos she is wearing stilettos in uniform. WTF? What kind of example is this. The worst is from a Facebook user that said:

"This one!!!! Holy **** she was in charge of us in Afghanistan!! I could go on and on about this toxic leader!! Trying to maintain professionalism but this one.....when a CSM so jacked up like this, she was laughing her ass off during our rehearsal of my brothers ceremony after he was killed in Afghanistan, she f***ing yelled at me because I "took too long saying my goodbye " as I'm f***ing crying kneeling in front of it. This post will probably get me in trouble, and ruin the rest of my army career as well as my day and my army experience."

What would you do if you were there? What if you were on command?

What should the Army do about this?

(Thanks to Army MP WTF Moments and it's followers for the photos.)

**************UPDATE************************
The 8th Theater Sustainment Command CSM will be travelling to the 8th MP BDE to have some one on one time with this CSM. It is amazing as leaders will do when they are being called out. He should have done that a long time ago.

Back in my day, '72-'75, if the CSM saw a troop out of regulation heads rolled from his squad leader all the way up to his 1SG, and then back down. That shit didn't happen twice! LOL My money's on things getting better when a real leader moves into the White House.

I can honestly say in my 4 years experience back in the 80's I've never seen an NCO out of pocket and I believe if I did he or she would have been dealt with swiftly and concise. To see the things I see and hear about the military now is beyond me and I wonder often what it would be like if I were in the service with my mentality from back then. She should be ashamed of herself to allow herself to fall below standards and lose her bearing without any regard for the men and women that enstilled trust and honor in her and her position. To all you brace men and women carry on

I sent an inquiry to this unit to see if any counseling, corrective action or other actions to correct this CSM with her own dress code. No response as of yet. Will let you know what I find out.

Its America today in uniform or civilian its a not me kind of a situation. No professionalism discipline are caring for a fellow soldier deceased. We look for the best in leaders but they don't know what it takes to be a leader today, we long for human beings to know what's morally wrong and right, certain people are not cut out to be leaders.

Yes, I totally agree with what you have commented here. As a Command Sergeant Major, she was just out of line and disrespectful to her fellow Soldiers. With rank comes responsibility, with responsibility, comes respect. One can only imagine what would happen if she was in an actual combat situation when the chips are not in your favor. Hopefully someone with some fortitude and experience and knowledge of this matter will take this to the highest level and get this CSM relieve for unbecoming of a Senior Enlisted who just don't give a rat.

James

She is just one of many examples of the inept leaders in the Army. The past 15 years in the Army has really weekend the standards that were taught prior to OEF and OIF. Unit personnel levels were understaffed causing many leaders just to accept what they were given and just be happy with a body in that position regardless of his/her ability.

While I was in, I saw unbelievable standards in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, and Qatar that would have made many of the old Senior leaders just smack themselves.

Although this story is old and she has been corrected, I think correction for a CSM is misguided and she should have been QMP'd immediately. What does she have left to offer the Army if she thinks it was acceptable for her to walk around like this?

Involuntary separation should be used as a tool to terminate leaders like this. She doesn't deserve a second chance since she is at the highest level and should be setting standards not breaking them. The Army has gotten to soft at certain ranks and extremely hard on others. If this would have been a lower enlisted she would have been separated for this.

As certain people are and were targeted to lower the total population of the Army this CSM should have been the first one to get a pink slip. We are sending some of the good leaders home and allowing this trash to stay.

CPT Russell Pitre After all the hue and cry that this topic generated on multiple social media sites, was there any result other than the more senior CSM counseling CSM Flournoy? Such as a change in command at the Bn level, or retirement by the CSM in question. Just curious. An interesting aspect of the attention generated is that the command was hot on the 'kill the messenger" scenario rather than stepping up and admiitting that management had not done the expected job. Have a Happy New Year!
