I've attended BLC and Phase 1 of ALC. I was reviewing my most recent DD214 and saw "NCO Professional Development Ribbon (2nd Award)." I haven't yet completed Phases 2 & 3, so I thought that was kind of odd. AR 600-8-22 specifically states that Soldiers Soldiers "are eligible for this award for *satisfactory completion* of the respective NCO Education System or RC – NCO Education System courses." So I guess my question is, is completing one out of multiple phases of a course considered "completion" for the purposes of the NCOES Ribbon?

The answer is no. You have completed a phase in the NCOES course, you have not completed the NCOES course itself.

Thanks. I figured as much, but thought getting more eyes and minds on is never a bad thing.

That is odd but I think you're tracking. You have to complete all phases to get the award. But if you find out I'm wrong let me know because I never completed the last phase of BNCOC (2 of 3 phases) so I've only have my empty NCOPD from 2005 PLDC (pre BLC) for 19 years. :(

Exactly... I'm just chalking it up to an error on the part of the transitions office.

Thank you. I had a feeling about it, but I also believed that having more eyes and minds on anything is never a bad thing. https://monkeymartgame.io
