SFC (Join to see) - Sure did a few days after our 17th birthday, my twin brother and I. We hung around the recruiting station from the time we were 15. Plastered the NYC Subway system with recruiting stickers, US Army Recruiting Station, Stillwell and Cropsey Avenues, Brooklyn, NY. I even saw one still on one of the cars 15 years later!

When someone has both the Army Recruiter Badge and Basic Instructor Badge, where do they go on the OCPs (the regulation is unclear)?

Big Sarge did you volunteer for both of these duties? Or were they DA selected?

You need to submit a recruiter packet. You must be able to get at least a secret clearance or already have one.

I have that, I wouldn’t mind being DA Selected! It makes the process so much easier!

There is a big difference. If DA selected they pick where you go recruit. If you put in your packet you have a higher chance to pick where you go. Not 100% but better chance to go where you want if they have open slits available for you.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe centered on the left breast pocket

That's what it says in the regulation but it also says that you can wear one on each side now if you want. It's not clear as to which one goes where. I am currently an instructor and it says wear in the order of precedence which the Recruiter Badge is higher. So does that one go on the left and the Instructor on the Right or do I have to flip since I'm currently serving as an Instructor?

On the ASU I wear both on the left side centered on the pocket. I just want to be right as to where they go on the OCP's.

SFC (Join to see) - On the ACU, which one is to the right? Just think of it that way.

So are you saying that the Recruiter badge moves to the right side and instructor on left?
