It was bound to happen eventually. Everyone wants to go get their video of them being a 'hero' and shaming fakers.

Horrific, despicable and unconscionable. These men do NOT deserve to have the title of: Marine.
I sent an e-mail to veteran Jack Hughes.

These Marines all deserve Field grade article 15's to include reduction in rank.

Hello can someone say, RECON. You don't go in blind. They probably could’ve Google'd and got some facts before crushing this veteran's Valor. Devil Dogs, fall back and regroup to the rally point - Echo.

No offense to the USMC at all but this may have been an 18 year old E-2 who insulted the purple Heart recipient. This could have happend with anyone from any service who was cocky and too young to know the difference. I am not an apologist for those men who did it. I am sure a mid level or higher NCO would have been more mature about this had he/she had their suspiscions. Say recon, intel, alternate courses of actions and maintain military bearing even when in doubt. Conway out!

There is nothing wrong with standing up for what you believe in but, don't be a dumb ass doing it. You tarnish not only the Corp but, everyone who has served. These jerks need to be punished under UCMJ and make an official apology to all veterans.

That is sad and disrespectful. Granted we do have plenty of stolen valor, but it doesn't mean we need to act stupid with them. We as Active, Reserve, NG, Retired, and Vets; we all know we go through mentally and physically. Let the fakes be fakes. We need to be worried about 22 brothers and sisters we're losing everyday and our homeless heroes.

That man must feel really betrayed. I hope the military reviews the security camera tape and nail those dicks to the wall. When you're on active duty, there is some rivalry between services but when you're a veteran, you're all family. It's an instant bond. I was Navy and sat at a bar talking to a couple of Marines the other day. We got a long great and shook hands when I was leaving. The point is you don't dis another service member or veteran like this. You respect them as the Marines and I did because we all served.

I had a HS college colleauge, enlisted, and basically, blew his ankle to shreds in basic training. Nothing from training, it was his ankle was weak. Yet he had the guts to go and sign up. I have more respect for him than a lot of others in my graduating class in HS, including myself.

2LT Tom Waters - Well, that is a different story. But, he at least got to basic training. I opted for college. Then screwed my body then, badly. Fate, who knows. I was a pretty light not well built type. Took on more than I could chew, and ruptured my shoulder, then later my back. Ill defend those that did sign up and serve though. I just screwed up my chances when I was considering, basically to my own stupid decisions in physical sense. Both different injuries left me, even to this day, a bit "handicapped" as it were. I know. I was a "p****" . The injuries bad enough when I talked to recruiters, they were like "forget it". But knowing others close to me and I graduated with, well, that is why I have deep respect for those that took that path. Earlier in the week, I was to sign the dotted line when I, stupidly, hurt my bac.k. I wont lie, she had me hooked on signing up But once I did that, I knew , no LEO, Military, EMT...was all out of the equation, unless we are invaded.

The Halloween after I ETS'd I wore my class A uniform (complete) to a get together, and was accused of disrespecting the uniform... Until they realized it was complete and correct.
