Where are the best places to volunteer around Fort Bragg?

I am looking for anywhere to donate some spare time. I am an EMT-B so maybe the local VA clinic could use me in some capacity. Give me any ideas you have. I don't mind using my occupational skills to volunteer also. I could do something in a research role if that was what was required. I am just not too volunteer savvy around here.

Hey bro... Go to the Fayetteville Fire Department. I personal know they would love to have you and it would set you up for success when you ETS.

I've thought about the Fire Department, but I assumed my sporadic volunteer schedule would discourage them from taking me serious. The way I understood it is when they need people for a shift, they have to be there. I feel like I would let them down because of training and deployments, etc.

No absolutely not. One of my best friends who recently past away was a volunteer fire fighter, and SF. He was also in the 504 when he began. They worked with him all through the Q Course and during deployments. After his service he became a firefighter. His name was SFC Alfonso Molinar. I feel compelled to give you his name because one of the greatest soldiers I've known.
There are many volunteers on stand by. They understand that military service takes first priority and it was even used as an NCOER bullet. Also his ambition is what I believe took him so far so quick. He was one of the few that made E7 in 7.
There's also the WWP. It is such a morale booster to veterans to just speak with those who are still serving.
Good luck brother! Your ambition is inspiring!

I have no specific recommendations, SSG (Join to see). I just wish to commend you for your willingness and desire to go the extra mile.

Contact your local BOSS program coordinator, SSG Audie Murphy Club chapter, ACS, and your chapel

I've went to the BOSS program directors, but they try to make most of their opportunities restrictive to the single soldiers. I am married. They have offered to put me on standby in case they didn't get enough people sometimes. I definitely need to check out ACS. They would be a great resource here.
