Where do you feel WWIII will erupt, if it does? Why will skirmishes boil over the rim into a war involving Allied Nations?

If WWIII were to erupt, it will probably happen in the South China Sea. It won't be because China is an Empire or a Communist Dictatorship of the Proletariat or because such as that are unacceptable to the New World Order but because of something much more basic, the real root cause of ALL wars since the beginning of time: money=power. If China is foolish enough to even threaten to close off the trade route, there will be war. How big a war will be up to them.

I agree SMSgt (Join to see); China appears to have loads of money to lend to other nations; China threatens the U.S. as well. China is a world power too. The U.S. is an ally today and foe tomorrow. SCS is in China's economic interests because of oil and control of access. China wants to create a parallel international community to the World Bank and the IMF, which China initiated at the BRICS Summit. China has all the reason to drum up another World War, but not close to home; rather, in the Indian Ocean, I feel, drawing the U.S. into battle farther from home.

China has announced its intent to become a regional, then dominant world power. It is modernizing its naval forces and "building" advance bases. As it works toward its objective, it will trespass into areas and trade relations guarded by many nations, causing alliances to halt its advancement. Western nations will be drawn in by their own treaties and interests in the area.
World War is a modern moniker and relative to communications and advancement of cultures into organized nations with communications to other nations. There were "world wars" prior to our I and II and there will be wars that involve the majority of "civilized" nations in the future.

Very true LtCol Robert Quinter and indeed, I do believe WWIII will erupt in the Asian subcontinent or its waters, because China wants to flex its power to dominate and the U.S. and Russia are not going to stand by and watch. I agree Sir.

The bible says it will start in the middle east. I'm not religious, but that's my guess.

CPT Edwina McCall - PFC Waisman there is a reason the Bible tells us not to marry unbelievers and to stay clear of them. They pull you off the narrow path and try to get you onto their wide path. Draw you into fights and into discussions. You then give them a platform to spew their disbelief and call yo Narrow minded. We Christians are Narrow minded, we are on the path less trodden.
The fact that this Cpt. Rana would even say what he did shows he has not understanding of what is going on in the Middle East today and by the way, I served in two wars and find it unbelievably that he should make such a statement.

If we Americans dont put our internal politics back into actually reflecting the Will of the middle 70-80% instead of catering to the marginal misfits in both parties ,we will have another civil war.
Groups like the left Socialists, Blm, and others funded by G Soros.....aided and abetted by both Russian/Chinese agents. VERSus KKK, rt wing militias, and those funded by assholes like RMurdock.
If We The (real) People dont make our not so functional relatives go to the back of the bus, sit down, shut the eff up and enjoy the gravy, we gonna have another civil war.

It has been a while since I heard such MilSpeak about politics and prejudice in the same response. Thanks for that SGT Charles Clemons ; the memories are fresh again.
The U.S. is already in a civil war to act or not to act on controversial issues. The President, after blaming Clinton for hiring the Russian mafia during the elections, has himself willing to meet and discuss world order with Putin. Laws are violated at will in the U.S. and the Courts only contemplate how to quickly dispose of cases that can hurt government image. Crime is highest in the U.S., even kids have taken to arms in schools, terrorism is not being eliminated aggressively in the War against Terror, which is a U.S. initiative.
Much has got to change!

Hate to even see a question like this asked. Let's pray we don't have to address a WWIII.
If it does happen we are well prepared and able to address any threat against the United States.
Multiple boiling pots going on in the world nowadays. But the US keeps a lid on top of them.

Let's believe that you are right Dave Bohl, because when the War breaks out there will be no room to prepare or fix. It will be a war that will explode and exploit vulnerabilities of nations, their defenses, and their backing.

I personally feel that WW3 will start on the Korean peninsula. But I think that it will start as a tragic accident. DPRK will test one of their missiles that will go awry and will land in South Korea. They will feel that because of all of Kim Jong Un's threats, South Korea will assume that it was a direct attack and will respond accordingly. Other nations will be drawn in because of alliance pacts.

What do you feel the Trump-Un meeting in Singapore, if it happens, will yield? Denuclearization of DPRK or no real resolution PO3 Scott Karl.
I had like to remind you that Kim has made it clear that denuclearization of his country must have a reciprocal action. So; the question is will the U.S. denucleaize to get the DPRK to get rid of it's WMD and its manufacturing machinery.

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - No. I don't believe that the U. S. will denuclearize. There is still Russia and China to worry about. I feel that the only reason Kim Jong Un has asked for that is that he knows that the U. S. will never do it. Then when things fall apart, he can blame President Trump.

PO2 David Dunlap I agree that the DPRK will not embark on the denuclearization journey unilaterally, because it's leader made this clear to the world ahead of his one-of meeting with President Trump. The U.S. should have had the meeting with Kim, only if the U.S. had confirmed reports that Kim would not unilaterally disarm his own nation beyond that worldwide watched bonhomie at the cost to American taxpayers. I agree with you that the meeting in Singapore was eyewash.
Latest news; the DPRK has perhaps renewed its nuclear weapons program and is developing liquid fuel delivery systems in the same lab where it developed ICBMs. American and the ROK intelligence agencies are reviewing satellite images and corresponding reports.

Excellent analysis Dave,.with an integrated religious angle and a reality check to top it off. WWIII will leave no man or woman at peace; the world shall burn and become victim of its own existence indeed SCPO (Join to see).

I do not believe the be all end all of wars and civilization will occur - first, because I do not believe there is anyone insane enough to be the first to launch a nuke, and second, there would be no profit to be had if we destroy the planet - what would be the point of nuking the middle east, the Asian mainland, Europe, or the Americas if you cannot exploit the resources gained due to radioactivity? what will continue however are the proxy wars, usually in less developed countries.

Absolutely SSG Robert Perrotto, proxy wars will continue and there will be another major conventional battle for territory and minerals. China seems to have lost the battle of Spratly. Malacca is a very treacherous straight and piracy adds uncertainty. China has nabbed Gwadar on the oil rich Gulf and Djibouti on the mouth of the Suez and on the Horn of Africa. It has grabbed two ports in Sri Lanka and a oil pipeline port in Myanmar on the Bay of Bengal; better known as the 'Pearls of China'. China intends to develop a necklace thru its MSR initiative and a wider necklace encompassing Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe with assistance from Russia; the 'Mikkimoto of Communism'. This is all in response to the U.S.

OBOR will join the same necklace over land to Russia and China. It will open up the Arctic for a joint Russia and China initiative to explore and exploit oil and gas under frozen pizza.

The way I see it - China has already won - when they started annexing islands and building islands in the SCS, they have effectively created a sphere of influence not only politically, but militarily. While the United States was being crippled by the democrats/liberal meltdown due the results of the election, China went about the business of securing and fortifying their interests in the region. The EU is a shambles, with Brexit, and eastern European countries balking at what they consider yet another German Leader trying to dictate to them how they run their countries, and the Migrant crisis in France, germany, and the Nordic states, to the bankruptcy of Greece, Spain, and Portugal - Turkey is a country I will not trust, nor should Nato - it has already been established that the UN, like it's predecessor, the League of Nations, is a paper tiger with all growl and no actual power to implement anything without the security councils approval.

BTW - I called this about two years ago when China first started to make moves in the South China Sea that if not stopped then, it would result in a serious shift in the world balance - but everyone was convinced that North Korea was the most important hot spot in the world without actually understanding the repercussions should North Korea be the aggressor in reopening hostilities in the region. I truly believe that China used it's influence with North Korea to have the world look the other way while it consolidated its gains in the South China sea

It would probably start as a proxy war with someone like Russia or China. But probably Russia.

We've been fighting that "proxy" war since the end of WWII. Was Gen GS Patton right when he said after WWII that since we had the army there in Europe that we should re-arm the Germans and attack Russia??? Just a thought
