This is a fun survey to get an idea of how diverse we are as a service. Different regions of the US have different cultures and traditions, different speech patterns. However, it is interesting how much we grow as a person and service member when we are exposed to the world and other's views. So where do you come from?

In Colorado. One of the reasons I say it's not North and South, it's East and West. It's also elevation

I was born in Lower Alabama or "East South Central." My mom almost had me in an Elevator in the Hospital, and eventually deleivered me in the hallway outside of the Maternity Ward. I think she was biting down on a leather strap and breast feeding my older brother during the entire time.

MSgt (Join to see), many folks don't know that when you say it's time to get back to LA, you mean Lower Alabama and not Los Angeles!

PO1 (Join to see) - I'm actually stationed in Colorado right now, and I love it, a lot like back home. Once you get out, its a tough choice. Montana doesn't have a sales tax, and all the towns are small (comparatively). If you like big towns, id pick Colorado. Montana has a total pop. of about 1mill people, so its nice and small.

A1C (Join to see) Not much of a big city person. I just want to find a nice little town to settle on the outskirts of and own a horse ranch/working farm. Only thing that Montana concerns me about is how harsh the winters will be on the animals and farming side of the house.

A1C (Join to see) Also looking into owning/raising wolf pups/hybrids. I know it is legal in Montana and I believe Colorado. I am looking into going to vet school so I can treat our horses and being an on call vet for local farms on the side.

Well Great Falls is great for that, there are a lot of people who own horses up there, you will just have to rent/build/buy a stable for them. For the school, if you don't already have the degrees to be a vet, there are schools all over the place there. I actually had friends there that also owned wolf hybrids, so there is no problem there. The winters can be pretty harsh, but you get used to them pretty quick. The coldest I've been through there was -64 after windchill, but that's unusual. In the winter it usually gets to anywhere from -35 through -10 for most the time, but if you get a horse from Montana, they are pretty well adjusted already.

when the golden spike was driven for the transcontinental railroad and the telegraph signal went to both coasts simultaneously, one of the tallest hotels in SanFrancisco unrolled a banner that read California annexes the United States.
When the Great Quake happens, everything east of California will fall off into the Atlantic

My dad was stationed at KI Sawyer Air Force Base when I was born. He retired when I was 3 and I was raised in the south.
