Can we give this question some love? I wanted to ask it today, myself, but didn't want to duplicate. SSG Carlos Madden

I didn't get any love because it doesn't have any tags. He or an admin would need to fix that.

SGT (Join to see) - I wasn't on RallyPoint in 2014. Not sure what the site was like back then. But yes, perhaps SSG Carlos Madden can help this post out.

Well I got Nixed by the Army (Too Skinny) that is why I joined the Navy. Probably the Air Force knowing what I know now about their Quality of Life but I would truly have lost out on the Travel.

I thought about the Air Force for a minute but I just leaned more toward the Navy. My uncle was a sailor so I thought just to carry on the lineage.

Now that I am retired - I think about it a little differently! If I were on active duty now - I would look for a branch that had good transferable skills to the civilian world of work! Sounds selfish - but having been retired for nearly 17 years - l now know that life goes on after the military and it can go on for a long time! I enjoyed Armor and Intelligence - but Intelligence has served me much better in retirement! Great question!
