Who here thinks that our government has gone out of control? Who believes new people should be put into play, and all the old who have made a career out of it, taken out of office? Please share your thoughts below.

They sure do, seems the employees think they are better than us, the employers. When are the voters as a majority ever going to wake and and take control back ?

Long gone way out of control. Why? We allowed it. We wanted it. We deserve it. We could've stopped it long ago. We could stop it now. Will we?

As Tonto said to the Lone Ranger when they were surrounded by Indians, "What you mean we white man? This was done incrementally and the general public always supports their candidate, just not the others. I'm not sure how it can be stopped, CPT Jack Durish.

No congressman or senator can make it a career unless "the people" keep electing them. So if there is anyone to blame for the congress being populated by the same old people theren is no one to blame but ourselves. No new laws are needed to fix this problem; just voters voting for new people.

Ltc Mathews, I certainly can't argue with Your point, I fail to understand how so many voters just make such bad choices What does it take for people to wake up? Its like they enjoy being abused by the Government officials !

Institutional knowledge is important, but as i learned from a great senior leader, and implemented myself... a good leader can walk in the door..wipe the desk top off, dump out the draws and then start fresh..the really important stuff makes it self known quickly, the less important stuff is brought back to the front y others as well.

That said.... id be all for a purge..anyone in senate, congress.. that has held the seat more then 2 years...your term ends NOW, literally, escorted out the door and off the property.. States that effects hold special elections ..the process starts immediately,,candidates are elected in days or weeks, not months and years.
"But junior congressmen dont know how to get things done on the hill...."

BS... junior congressmen dont get things done because they are not yet in the system of games one plays to get things done..
BUT if you purge the old and start fresh,,, that intelligent, extrovert, type A person knows exactly how to get something done... you call bob next door and ask to borrow the mower... you chat with the HOA and convince them purple trim on your house is good for the neighborhood, you speak at the investors meeting and talk them into holding the position on the company and voting for a buyout of the company you think they should acquire.

I agree but they will do everything they can to hold onto the wealth producing "Public Service" and their own self interest. Greed and corruption are both alive and well and neither major political party has a monopoly on it !

I think there is a hard core in both political parties still that still are not getting this. However, I think the Republican party is closer to reform than the Democrats and the day of reckoning for the Democrats is comming and will be even more spectacular. You can see the stress cracks on the Democratic side already, the recent split between a Socialist agenda and Democratic Party agenda and the lame attempt to try to meld them together. Which I am not sure will work well or satisfy anyone....we'll see. Here is one example, Hillary runs around and says "tuition free college" now most of us can interpret that to mean exclusive of other fees, room & board, meals and books. However, you see her supporters running around saying "Debt Free College".........that is not what was promised by anyone except maybe Bernie Sanders. Infrastruture program, Hillary says $500 Billion, Mass media says $250 Billion and in small print says with private money could be as much as $500 billion (lol). Again the disparity, which is it?. So when reality meets the road on some of these promises the malcontents in the Democratic Party will hit the streets protesting against their leaders. So regardless of what happens this November I think the movement to churn over those in office is only half started (Republican side only) but I think if Hillary gets the Oval Office it won't be long before the Democrats kick it into high gear and start throwing their people out and bitching publicly like some of the Republicans are now. So I forsee a much changed America in the next 4-6 years from where we are today. Republicans do not all see it yet, Most Democrats are in full denial but it's comming on both sides of the aisle.

Also, four more years of 1-2% GDP Growth will cause social instability as well, we keep going down that path and the Interest payments on the debt will consume more and more of the larger discretionary programs. Every time Janet Yellen ups that interest rate they have to cut the National Budget somewhere now to pay the new interest rate or else the National Debt will start compounding via deferred interest payments........either or will lead to social unrest at some point in the near future. Very critical they get higher GDP Growth rates.

I agree with you Specialist, there are way too many career senators and reps. that need to go. New blood with far better ideas are needed.

I hear this a lot, but seldom get any examples. We cannot lump everything into one big problem and expect to resolve that problem.
How about discussing each issue separately?
