CSM (Join to see) If they set up a high-speed ferry from key west in the next year or so I might make a visit, could be interesting.

I hadn't thought about that. They have a few that operate out of Key West now and that would be very interesting (and cool).

Maybe something like the "Hover Speed" or "Sea Cat" that used to run between France and England.

Actually, CSM (Join to see), that was one of my first thoughts. It's still a Communist nation, but I guess the option is there. It would be neat to get to Cuba before they commercialize to accommodate the influx of American tourists.

I think I'll wait for a while and let the 'bugs' get worked out first, but I definitely want to get there before it gets built into a tourist trap. Probably don't have to worry about that for a little while though, lol. I look forward to going.

I get worked up about this topic. There are still political prisoners. The Castros just execute those they don't like. Anyone who goes there supports that.

Been to GTMO on an all expense paid, government sponsored vacation. Nothing really intrigued me enough to want to go back. Got some cool pics of Havana when my grandfather went there back in WWII while stationed at GTMO.

Wow there, MAJ. Been there for 6 months back in '05/'06 doing detainee ops. It was nice for 6 months, but 6 was more than enough for me. And something tells me I've told you that before. But hey, why not again since we're again on the... 'same page', get it?

TSgt Joshua Copeland Dollars to donuts you can trade a five year old corolla for any car on the island. They want to buy modern cars, they just haven't been allowed to for decades.

I want the old Harley's. It's amazing how they have keep them running all these years with no new parts.
