I ran into a group in Israel years back and let me tell you, you did not want to mess with them. But I do remember a discussion with them about the reason why they were a separate unit. It was because when the embedded with male units the males had a tendency to not focus on the objective.

Would be an interesting experiment. The Army's experimented on everything else (to include people), why not this?

SCPO David Lockwood - No Problem I have pretty fat fingers. Screwed up spelling so bad in Word today that I got a orange line instead of a red one.

Aside from the obvious, insufficient candidates if done on a volunteer basis. I wouldn't want my name on the bill or suggestion that mandatory combat for women is the rule.
