Congratulations... you must have received your 2000th vote up!
After 2000 votes up, you receive 30 points per vote. It gives a chance for everybody else to catch up a bit. More info here: http://support.rallypoint.com/customer/portal/articles/1401605

LTC Jason Strickland - I haven't voted, though I guess I would have voted for "other." I did like the options though... very creative. You know, most likely RallyPoint points WILL be worth something at some point in the future, so those getting ahead on things now will only benefit that much more!

MAJ Bryan Zeski - that's a good point! Seems like a progressive tax system. We'll have to think about that.

LTC Yinon Weiss - Thank you for the clarification,i started receiving 30 recently and thought it had to do with amount of points in some manner, but had not figured exactly how.

Sir, are you sure you're not being discriminated against? I'm getting 50 points for "Vote Ups"... of course, that may be because I'm so far down on the totem poll that RP is trying to bring me up to ground level... or, they wanted to make me feel good (which I must admit has been successful) ... or, possibly, in this game, the points don't matter... just a few thoughts.

Why did RallyPoint drop the "vote up" points from 40 to 30?

Well I hope they don't raise the number of points needed to redeem them for gifts. I've had my eye on the One Free Cup of Coffee at AAFES gift card for a while now and would hate to see them move the goalposts back now.

LTC Jason Strickland - great! If they had an offer where a certain amount of RP influence points got you a cut to the front of the line at the base pharmacy, the membership in this site would double overnight! :)

Why do people care so much about their points? Does it pay your bills? Does it make you a better leader? People should be more focused on actual contribution to a discussion. Many of the top "leaders" rarely contribute any real intellectual content to a discussion. They usually just post something like "I agree" and then link the discussion to their friends so they can vote their comment up for points. I think the whole system detracts from any real intellectual commentary as most of the top contributors are just spamming for votes.

PO3 Rod Arnold Sir, I admit it. I'm the one who said, "Dude," but then again, I'm a practicing Dudist after memorizing _The Big Lebowski_. My bad, please pardon the brevity. I could say, "El Duderino," if it better fits to your style.

Jeff Bridges is in the terminal stages of cancer, pancreatic, if I recall correctly. I shall miss him dearly.

Flattered, PVT Robert Gresham, but mostly embarrassed that I was unaware of RallyPoint protocol. Maybe the RallyPoint Shared Content team will dock me 10,000 influence points for asking the (there's no such thing as a stupid) question!?!?

It's a common question LTC Jason Strickland. And, nope......there is no such thing as a stupid question. I would guess that your influence points are safe (this time). ;-)
