Why do you suppose people no longer feel they have to earn the right to wear certain types of gym attire?

Back in the day and I mean like 5 years ago before the gym became a fad people were embarrassed to wear either tight clothing or a stringer back in the gym until they had achieved a level of fitness or body composition that warranted the wear, but I see now that regardless of how fat, or inappropriate something is people wear it.

I'm a Retired Navy Spook and a Grandpa, People should be Grateful that I don't go out Butt Naked or in my Skivvies. Tour in DG with little to no clothes, Bunking with 15 or more other stinky nasty Sailors, I don't care.

Yeah, on DG i first met my LPO while he was walking naked on the beach looking like the Pillsbury Doughboy. Kind of an awkward introduction. Then i discovered it was the norm there.

PO1 Brian Austin - By the time I arrived we had Ladies there but some things don't change. Not Uncommon after 8 Pm on the Plantation Side, Skinny Dipping in the Lagoon. Now if you do it at the Base Pool that will get you in trouble with the ROPOs especially with their office just across the street.

Similar to what SPC Andrew Griffin said, they do have the "right." I buy it, I can wear, generally speaking. In regards to people wearing clothing that doesn't improve their body appearance - if it looks stupid, but it works, it ain't stupid. Compression clothing helps the body breathe, comfort, and performance many times. Of course, piggy-backing SSG (Join to see), yoga pants and a few other accessories are worn more for the sake of trend than performance.

I'm a lot older now and not the skinny young woman I used to be, so dress for comfort - if it's in style, great, but I shop mostly Goodwill and local thrift shops - will NOT pay a lot to be in fashion. I've never been one to care much what other people think about how I dress, except I don't want to embarrass my husband or daughter.
