Why does RallyPoint want you to connect to Facebook? I am at 90% and can never get to 100% because I won't create a FB Account?

Connecting your FB account allows RP to better match you with people you already know on RP, which is why we encourage it. We realize not everyone has a FB account, and we should find a way to allow people to get to 100% profile completion without it. It's a known limitation and a great point.

I find that RP is far superior to FB, not nearly the BS that fly's around FB. There seems to be a far more intelligent respondents and posters here on RP. People have a higher level of humor, but also well thought out discussions on important topics. Good mix for me. I like Linked In as well, but mainly for more work related topics.

SGT Kyle Johnson And on here we all have a common thread... Our service to the country. Thats also why we should be better than what you see on other sites. We may argue over whats better, Navy or whatever. But that's always happened and always will. When you get down to it, we know we all have each others backs.

Same here. I've just resigned myself to never reaching 100, because I don't trust Facebook.

Col Joseph Lenertz I agree and with the latest news I am even less likely to open an Account on FB. But I would like to be at 100%. I'm here every day and feel its a slight to me to make me join FB to get to that 100%

I am at 85% and will probably stay there forever. I am only short on the invitation of others. I have invited many but, I do so privately. Being 100 % just doesn't have much meaning without free coffee. For what it is worth I found RP because people on FB told me about it.

I'll never get to 100% because I won't put security clearance, current base, departure date or any of that info. I don't really care about getting 100% so it doesn't really bother me, but putting all that info out seems sketchy.

It does seem odd. For a lot of folks avoiding FB is a big reason they are on here.

I have several friends on Facebook that are veterans, but aren't on RallyPoint. When I try to go through RallyPoint to invite them, RallyPoint won't let me choose them. It will only show those in my contacts that are also on Facebook. I even tried to open a support ticket, but never heard back. Personally, I don't think profile completion should be tied in any way to Facebook.

I'm connected to FaceBook to bring in more veterans that I served with. I'm at 100%.

PO2 Mark Saffell - Maybe we should find a way for members to import their Hull Number contacts instead :)

Really concerned about news yesterday that all Linked-in passwords will have to be changed due to recent breach and poor password security on their part

I will probably Never reach 100% either... I am, however, very thankful, very Honored to be able to listen to others experiences, the concerns they have, the pride in most military personnel.. You are the Very upper-class of American people, and you provide the freedoms I enjoy.. Thank You, and Thanks RP...
