Now that was a hard one for me. It seems that no matter what I did, when I was just standing around, I always had at least one hand in my pocket. Usually the pocket that I had change in. God, that drove my Sergeant crazy. It was just a nervous reaction and finally, I just kept a diligent reminder not to put my hands in my pocket and it finally worked.

Wasn't an issue with the Navy white uniforms, no pockets. Pocket pool was only a figment of one's imagination.

this will work out great until it doesn't work out great...at which time there will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth and pain of the body

I wonder is they realize that their hands would be just as warm is they just wore the gloves. They could also get some work done.

Now sir, we all know those gloves don't work at all. I've worn them when it's only 50F outside, and still they didn't manage to keep my hands warm.

Ah yes, that is what I used to think when I was in dress blues standing at attention for inspection at New London, CT in 0-10 degrees. Gloves were not uniform.

I was at a Change of Command ceremony in a white out blizzard at Carson. No my hands weren't in my pockets because contrary to the above mentioned comment, the gloves I wore did in fact make a difference.
