Would you like to be able to save or tag specific threads as favorites?

I would. I find going back to retrieve valuable information from them a pain.

True. There are many threads I'd like to update often with new info. I also think it MAY help with people posting the same threads. I've seen at least 5 posts sharing IVMF.

RP already has a pretty good search function. How would the suggested feature differ from the present system?

An in-site bookmarking function would mean you have a list of all topics you'd like to go back to more times in the future. For example, some shared links are good, but the conversations that start on that thread could be much more valuable. One click of a button and you're there without having to save bookmarks on your own computer, unless you have an online bookmark list such as from Draggo.
