Sgt Joe LaBranche Absolutely! Gingrich certainly could function as 'president' of the Senate! He knows his way around DC and would be a valuable asset to a President Trump and America!

CSM. Gingrich s very smart if someone takes the time to listen to him. He also know politics. I think Trump would befit with a veteran around.

He's not a bad pick in my opinion, but there are better picks. Allen West for one. Rand Paul for another

Newt would be like a twin edged sword. He would bring a lot of baggage to the ticket. He is a very knowledgeable man, he knows the ins and outs of D.C. and would be a benefit from the standpoint of knowing the legislative processes. He would also have the clout to get people's ear...the baboons in Congress.
He was responsible for the alleged budget surpluses for several years. I say alleged because if there were a true budget surplus we would have no deficit. Newt told Clinton he would shut down the government and held true to his word. It was only after that Clinton moved from radical left to try and govern from the middle.

I don't see that happening although Newt is a big deal still if the 2012 Election is any indicator. Gingrich also made a strong showing of support early for Trump which at least I appreciated. So I saw that theres talk about Hillary appointing Bill in a role for Economic development "cuz ya know he's so good at it" -she said. (I think he closed bases). Well the Dems have touted Bill's Surplus for awhile and said Bush spent it. (Obama creates more debt than all presidents combined if thats how it works)(Also the primary spending was Post 9/11, as we went into War). I thought its interesting people brought up Newt Gingrich's role as Speaker as being the big reason a budget was passed during Clinton's time and that Clinton just took credit for it. I like that story better...

It wouldn't be a bad choice. But i think Christie is going to be the VP choice, IMO.
