Instead of manipulating files in Windows, you can do it faster by opening a CMD window and programming a batch file in DOS.

I don't use Windows. Your comment is void.

MAJ Charles Blake - It refers to Operating Systems that run over the Linux Kernal. I recommend you check out an online interactive tour of one of the most popular Linux OS's around right now, Linux Ubuntu - http://tour.ubuntu.com/en/

I must admit I'm not sure how well it plays with CAC's, though. PO1 John Miller , PO2 Ed C. , or SSgt Mark Lines may, though.

I'm not sure how well any of this info from Militarycac.com is. http://militarycac.org/linux.htm

MAC OS X is based on the UNIX OS, as is Linux. So it would probably not take too much to get some/all flavors of Linux to play well with CAC's, since OS X can be used to read the certificates on Common Access Cards.

I think you're giving me too much credit but I appreciate the effort and will look at the video.

Is it truly faster, though? Regardless, this doesn't scream geek.

SSG Michael Hartsfield Definitely have done that in the past. Better support and faster speeds.

You do not to use a mouse and just plain keyboard. Or have a room filed with over 40 computers working and non working ,and running a server for your family with a database created for your family's use.Or get excited debugging lines of codes. Or pushed at one point in your educational adventures by your teacher to get a CEH certification from EC-Council. And for fun you build and configure PID settings for your racing drones and enjoy flying it.

you've provided some kind of tech support and wish you chose another field when the solution ends up being "Is it plugged in"

Just two months ago I was sizing up my daughter's new boy friend who is 26 years old to find out after ten minutes he had no idea what I was talking about. Fail!!! I thought I was talking about basic computer stuff. This kid has a laptop, but must live under a rock.

...when your home network has dual WAN in an loadbalance / failover configuration, firewall, two routers running OSPF , 3 internal networks, a transparent firewall protecting an isolated network segment, 4 wireless access points with 5 SSID, 3 switches, (one is a 10G-BASE-T switch), a network management server, 2 NAS servers, 48 TB of NAS storage....

I am not that fancy. I have two access points with 3 SSIDs, each WIreless Network has it's own subnet, I have a RAID setup with about 12TB of storage space. I have only 1 WAN, but it has 1Gbps upload and download, and I have my own intercom VOIP system with a phone in every room.
