Your thoughts on LTC West's "Do not enlist in the Army" statement? Was he right in saying it?

CPL Brian Clouser First of all, although it's distasteful to me, this is part of Afghan and particularly Pashtun culture. Secondly, isn't Allen West the same person who was allowed to retire rather than face a court martial? Some authority you quote. I'd fact check this. West has an axe to grind.
You seem to think that the POTUS controls every decision in DC it's a rather fallacious and naive view.

With all due respect SIR, where in hell did you come up with the idea that I think POTUS controls everything??
Personally, I think that this current POTUS couldn't find his way out of the White house with a written directions.
What authority did I quote? The only thing I did was to post a link and ask what people thought about it. It called a discussion, it something that people in the military used to do..with out fear

What do you think the reason why he said it? The military used to take care of its own. Now in the last 6+ years there has be a lot of "thrown under the bus" cases. Like the Navy Commander that return fire at the lowlife that was shooting up the recruiting station. The man should have receive a medal instead he facing disciplinary actions. Or Chaplains facing charges for doing their job?

When they're breaking regulations and/or disobeying lawful orders, I have no problem with them being disciplined. That's not unique to this administration. In fact, the person who is telling others not to join the military was guilty of doing just that....breaking two articles of the UCMJ. The Bush administration punished him for it.

LTC Kevin B. - Thank you for that link. The last I heard was that he was facing charges
