I don't care about unusual experiences. I care if the guy can lead. So far nothing I've read suggests he's not capable of the job.

I can appreciate that. I've known some rock star platoon leaders who were some of the best leaders I have had the pleasure of serving with. But that doesn't mean we make them battalion commanders overnight. I am rooting for GEN Caine.
