The US Navy is cutting back the fleet size while we are giving money away to Ukraine and throwing away $369 billion dollars in the Inflation Reduction Act (which President Biden had admitted all along wasn't truthful) to help other countries have UNRELIABLE clean energy.
The fake and fraudulent Inflation Reduction Act was basically a mini-Green New Deal disguised as something that didn't lower inflation.
The US Navy is continuing to decommission about two dozen ships in the next year and a half while the Chinese Navy keeps growing.
China has built three Miniature Aircraft Carriers and is currently constructing a fourth which, I believe, is going to be used as a screen to keep American forces away during the future invasion of Taiwan by communist China.
I am certain a future Republican Administration would put money into keeping this and another two dozen ships maintained instead of putting them in the Reserve Fleet.
Recruiting is part of the problem but the administration is dumb to have a drag queen petty officer be used as part of the Madison Avenue approach to alienate the rank- and- file sailor recruit who is straight and doesn't want to associate joining the Navy with a Drag Queen.
Thankfully, the last Defense Authorization Act has an amendment by Republican from Indiana to get rid of the Navy Drag Queen advertising.

Madison Avenue doesn't understand that having drag queen Navy petty officer or having commercials talking about gay soldiers having two moms is not going to sell the product ( help recruiting and retention) when most people who join the military are straight. Trying to cater to 10% or less of the population is not a good way to Win Friends and Influence People when most people are straight or want to deal with helping the country in' Duty, Honor and Country' instead of playing up alternate lifestyles like the diversity, equity and inclusion weirdos of the Democratic party are doing today.

I'm all for being who and what you are. When speaking about our military service, straight or gay - I'd ask that you just keep it to yourself. The Navy using Kelley's (or anyone else's) sexual preference(s) has nothing to do with military service. But this is no surprise given the political direction the top brass has taken in the past 10 years or so. Clinton had it right. I know many will disagree with me, and that's okay too. Everybody has an opinion. P.S. How come the fleet is in such terrible shape? Ships drydocked because they don't have the money or manpower to get underway. Why don't they address that issue? I thought senior leadership was about fixing problems with what you have. And . . . there are no excuses for failure - at least at one time that was message leadership sent our military men and women. Now its senior people worried about their next big paying job, not what there paid to do now.

I juxtaposed a video of the Canadian special forces recruiting which didn't focus on stupid diversity, equity and inclusion. We don't care if the Special Forces soldiers are gay, we want them to be able to defend our country. Look at this Canadian video and we should be doing this kind of emphasis instead of trying to be weird like the Navy in the army were. I saw the commercial that was so campy. It looks like it was a PBS special service announcement video but it was talking about a lesbian Soldier talking about her to Mom's so her mom's we're also lesbians and focusing on that and segwaying into being in the army. That is nothing to do with duty, honor and Country?
So people in the Deep State and in the brokeback Biden Administration are ruining retention by having Madison Avenue weirdos try to Fashion commercials to try to cater to the minority of the population. I agree with you, if they want to be weird and do homosexual acts off duty, that's their prerogative! But to emphasize the weirdness and Alternate Lifestyles as part of the core values of the military is totally unacceptable!

NO it's not. A 36 year old boat needs to be replaced. You will spend more trying to upgrade than build new plus China is not going to invade Taiwan.
1. China cannot afford any damage to Taiwan's semi-conductor infrastructure and an invasion would destroy it.
2. China is on the verge of financial collapse as every political entity in China is bankrupt.
3. The majority of the folks who make the decisions in China are billionaires and an invasion is bad for business.
4. The China Military is not battle hardened .
5. China would have to deal with South Korea, the Philippines ,Australia, Japan, the EU and the US.
6. It's doubtful that they can feed a Military engaged in battle as their food production does not meet its daily needs let alone a Country at War. There would be no food imports to China.
7. China needs natural gas to produce nitrogen for its fields but it does not have enough to provide for such a basic fertilizer for crops.
8. China has nothing to gain but everything to lose in an attempt to take over Taiwan.
9. Such a move would put China's exports and imports in the can.
10. Its bad for business.
