It was tough and I'm still transitioning. The great thing is that there is a ton of organizations that are taking this on and willing to help!

Thanks for joining us Sgt Dakota Meyer. When you left the military and started out on your journey as a veteran, how did you deal with missing the camaraderie and closeness within the units you served in?

Thank you sir, it was so tough missing my brothers but I just had to get out and surround myself with my next team if that makes sense.

Did you consider staying in the service post-Medal? What were your plans pre-medal? Had you considered making the Corps a career? Will you consider serving in uniform again?

Sgt Dakota Meyer Of course you are thinking about serving again because you want to still serve but you have to admit, it will be nice having senior leaders like GOs saluting you when you are in your dress uniform.

I haven't any questions, and perhaps missed out on the opportunity (late arriver) I do want to thank you for your fine example, under difficult circumstances/challenges, you transitioned so well. Your story gives me ammunition (if you will) to share with those veterans I meet on the streets who are not finding their way back into society after experiencing a rough time in their devoted military service and akin to you missing their comrades. Congratulations SGT Dakota Meyer. Many Blessings to you and yours. Respectfully, Kathlean (a civilian from the Woodstock generation)
