Thankyou for giving us a chance to question you. I watch the five. Love the back and forth on political topics. I would like to know if when you are off camera do you or any others on the program continue the discuss issues and does anyone get their mind changed.

what advice would you give the next white house press secretary in dealing with a preson who doesn't think before he speaks, I mean President elect Trump.

Dana. thanks for meeting up and answering questions with vets and active duty members. I have 2 questions: 1. How can you tolerate the obtuse and often irrational positions of Juan Williams on The FIVE?
2. Having had dogs and even cats, I understand the human relationship / bond with animals especially with our former dog which traveled with us to Europe and was treated well by the staff and the Marines while visiting and living in an American Embassy. We were devastated years later when she died. But in my 50 yrs of marriage to a wonderful woman who supported my military years and our later life decisions for over 50 years, I consider her "my best friend." Thus my question, why is Jasper your "best friend?" verses family?

I love Juan Williams; in fact, I appreciate all of my colleagues from across the political spectrum. Last week I was told at a book signing for Let Me Tell You About Jasper and a woman suggested FNC needed to fire Juan because she thought he wasn't taking the election well. I said, how about we pray for him instead? Guess what - she stayed until after the signing and then thanked me for giving her another way to look at things.
As to whether Jasper is my best friend - I'd say our dogs have been our best friend. I believe that having a dog has helped strengthen our marriage. And congratulations on 50 years. Next year is our 20th!

Dana Perino - Not sure you will get this response. Thank you for your kind reply. I will pray for Juan Williams. I didn't mention this before but my wife and I met VP George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush at a private reception at the American Embassy in Brussels. I was the director of the 2.2 Billion European F-16 program and the Ambassador set up a small gathering. There were more secret service traveling with them than the rest of us. My wife and Barbara hit it off and VP. Bush enjoyed the children. I never knew until then just how big he really was. When he shook hands, his was almost twice the size if mine. He had not announced for president yet, but I told my wife, I think he would make a great president.
One interesting thing is for some reason we kept in contact for a couple years and when I retired from the Air Force and became a graduate professor, he wrote me the nicest note which I still have framed in my home office. Obviously I thought he should have been re-elected.
When G.W. ran for his second term (2004), people in AR expected him to lose. When the people who were to promote his campaign in our region of AR quit, I agreed to take the responsibility for 3 reasons, 1) his parents, 2) his having flown F-100, and 3) I detested John Kerry for his illegally meeting with representative of N. Vietnam and trashing fellow Vietnam veterans. We worked hard and he won our county by a large margin which helped him to carry Arkansas.

Just a comment:
I believe the main stream media and world owes President Bush a big SORRY, because it finally came out chemical weapons were found in Iraq. I was there in late 2003 when some were found, and I know of others who were there later when chemical arty shells were found. Please tell him we know he was right.
