Cpt. Perdew, Where did you get the most valuable learning that drove your success? Was it from your family, your military service, your college degree, your time at UCLA, the things you learned from mentors like Trump, what you've learned since in your own business ventures, or your own internal motivation and drive? Thank you for being a role model to so many young people to follow.

I would say that the things I've been able to accomplish are a combination of everything you mention above. West Point certainly taught me a lot. And nothing can compare to what you learn about yourself at Ranger School. I think anyone can continue to learn and develop their leadership characteristics if they want to.

We really appreciate your time! Quite a few ask the questions I had and I appreciate your answers. So I want to just thank you to everyone who did not bring up anything negative about President-elect Donald Trump and racism or anything else to might start a bash riot. I love the maturity of RP community. We need to focus on his strengths and pray he does well. CPT Kelly thank you for the positive outlook on things. Congratulations on all your success. You've inspired many (me included). :)

CPT Kelly Perdew hello, thank you for your time on this important topic. I really have never thought about entrepreneurship. What is your recommendations for beginners like myself and what programs do you recommend Veterans take advantage of to get started?

Hello Sir,
Thanks for taking some time to visit us. What is one lesson or statement you took away from your time with Mr. Trump that would be beneficial for the military community?

Hello Sir and Welcome to Rallypoint,
I'm looking to create an app that has a web based client back end that works with a user front end app. With out going into all the details the product integrates marketing with an analytics component. My question pertains to patenting such a product. For the particular product I'm very concerned about the possibility some other company hitting me with a patent infringement. It seems having a patent doesn't always necessarily deter litigation. However seeking multiple patents can become cost prohibitive especially for a start-up. Seems with your background you might know a thing or two about this particular aspect in launching an app. Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated.

In the 75+ investments I've made in early stage companies over the last 15 years having (or not having) IP is not what made the company successful or go out of business. It has been important in a few for increasing value, but typically (at least in my experience) it has not been determinative. You should definitely get advice from a patent attorney though...

Does President Trump have any plans to stop the government from stealing money from disabled veterans? I refer to the fact that the VA sends me money for my disability every month, but the USAF takes the same amount out of my retirement, they have to by law. For some bullshit reason. The net gain to me is that the VA is not taxable, my retirement is.
He probably doesn't even know about this, he has no reason to. Someone should tell him.

You should go to a veterans service officer at your first opportunity. The law changed a couple of years ago. Go speak with a VSO at the American Legion, DAV, Or VFW. I had good experiences with the DAV. My father is 100% VA disabled and an Air Force retiree. He receives payments for both in the full amount, no deductions, and has since I helped him with the paperwork when the law changed.

I hope it works out. The DAV is a great organization. Thank you for being a member and supporting all the good work they do.

CPT,
In selling your business, is the sell the seller? If I approach a client and I am not as pretty as you, do I sell my story? Why I am doing what I do? Are folks going to purchase my abilities if they like something about me? Rather, than what I can do?
Do you think I am on the right frame of mind?
Thank you for reading my post.

Sell your product. You have to believe in your product first, passionately. You must love what you have to offer, and your love of that product, belief in what you have to offer to the client, has to come through to them in a genuine way as you talk to them in the first few minutes. If in telling them about what you have includes your story, then do that, but if it doesn't, then telling your story to just pull them in emotionally won't hold them as clients in the long run. People may listen to you because you have an interesting or powerful personal story, and it may get them to buy from you initially, but if you don't have a good product or service to sell, long term you won't retain clients, that's the bottom line. Go forth and sell.

If you are able to speak with the President, have him with Congress, pass and sign into law "Mary's Law" which simply states, "If someone states that they are a relative, caretaker or legal guardian, prove it. The institution whether a bank, brokerage firm, hospital, nursing facility, hospice or Medicare or Medicaid be fined $24000 a day per incident for the individual they do not contact on the account or the person on the HIPPA Release and the holder of the account or the patient or his estate. If 3 of the institutions which included a bank and 2 hospitals, out of 6 entities which included a 2 banks, 2 hospitals, a nursing facility and a hospice and Medicare, my mother, Mary S Randall who worked for the US Government for 31 years might still be alive. Contact your representatives whether local, state or federal to help protect the elderly, handicapped and the innocent. Don't let these 3 women and the thief at Regions Bank in Mobile, AL get away with theft, fraud, forgery, identity theft and fraud, kidnapping and possible murder along with false imprisonment. Strengthen Durable Power of Attorney laws.
Who can I get to represent me and my mother's estate against these institutions? Can anyone make any suggestions? Thanks for any help.

So many on the left question Mr. Trump's character and temperament my question to you as a person who has worked closely with the President Elect is: What is your personal assessment of the character and temperment of Donald J. Trump? Please provide examples that drew you to these conclusions. Thank you for participating in Rally Point.

Will this president ensure that vets are being treated fairly and not the way thay are now? I personally am having MAJOR issues with the VA to include being misdiagnosed, records have been altered, Told by the congressional Liaison at SLC VA something to the effect of " So , we misdiagnosed you, IM SORRY, get over it" the list goes on which I find appauling. Will this new administration even begin to listen to the people who voted them into office and entrusted them to fix issues like this?
