Oh, dear. I had boxes of these, plus the old truly floppy... floppy discs. ... the ones that look like a really thin old 45 record. And now, I think it is stored on electrons that live in a warehouse

My work 286 work computer OS was on a 5" floppy, system net-worked to a server.

Ouch!
Got to add that I'm so old that when the military first got computers our log on name was restricted to 7 digits and I was assigned JChrist.

3.5" "floppy" disks. Just happened to come in a rigid plastic case. 5.25" floppies were truly floppy/bendable and you could increase the capacity by punching a notch in the cover and using the "back" side. Tapes were fun too, not to mention punch cards.... All BFM - Before Flash Memory.
