On 14 May 1948, Israel declared independence, and in a war which began the next day, between Arab states and Israel, up to 750,000 Palestinians were expelled or fled from their homes. One man who still remembers the violence of 75 years ago is, Palestinian, Hasan Hammami. He spoke to Newshour's Rebecca Kesby.
