You are deflecting and article does not mention Black-on-Black gang violence. The author's argument is that minorities do not get treated the same as others when it comes to Second Amendment.

From article: "Today, Black applicants are up to 5.5 times more likely than white applicants to be denied a concealed carry permit. Homicides in which ‘Stand Your Ground’ is used as a defense are 10 times more likely to be ruled justified when the shooter is white and the victim is Black than when the shooter is Black and the victim is white."

The myth of Black on Black crime :

There’s no such thing as “black-on-black” crime. Yes, from 1976 to 2005, 94 percent of black victims were killed by black offenders, but that racial exclusivity was also true for white victims of violent crime—86 percent were killed by white offenders. . . .

What [Breitbart writer Ben] Shapiro and others miss about crime, in general, is that it’s driven by opportunism and proximity; If African-Americans are more likely to be robbed, or injured, or killed by other African-Americans, it’s because they tend to live in the same neighborhoods as each other. Residential statistics bear this out (PDF); blacks are still more likely to live near each other or other minority groups than they are to whites. And of course, the reverse holds as well—whites are much more likely to live near other whites than they are to minorities and African-Americans in particular.

The NRA Supported Gun Control When the Black Panthers Had the Weapons

Back in the 1960s, even the NRA supported gun control to disarm the group

The Mulford Act, a state bill prohibiting the open carry of loaded firearms, along with an addendum prohibiting loaded firearms in the state Capitol. The 1967 bill took California down the path to having some of the strictest gun laws in America and helped jumpstart a surge of national gun control restrictions.

CPL LaForest Gray -"There’s no such thing as “black-on-black” crime. Yes, from 1976 to 2005, 94 percent of black victims were killed by black offenders, " ???? YOU just contradicted yourself, rendering your 1st statement FALSE. YES, there IS ABSOLUTELY "such a thing". YOU simply spent the rest of your post explaining WHY it exists. And ALL that and NO point.

LTC EUGENE CHU "From article: "Today, Black applicants are " I call BS on those "stats". I want to see the sources. 5.5 times more likely to NOT get a CWL? Where? IN a "Shall issue "state or a "may issue"? I want to see WHY they were rejected, perhaps felons? Domestic violence conviction? See, the article doesn't mention ANY of that, it just slings out some crap stats.
AFA "Stand your ground" and "10 X more",blah, blah blah,,,,,one, there's PLENTY of white folks in jail right now, charged with manslaughter and murder, who claimed "Stand Your Ground". FYI, it is NOT "I was in fear for my life!". It is, "If I didn't shoot him, he was going to kill someone",,, AND, EVERY witness will testify to that. THAT is "Stand Your Ground". NOTHING ELSE.

IF it IS `10X more likely," then blacks are 10X more likely to NOT understand the concept. Folks can claim anything they want, that don't mean it will fly. and it's NOT a stat.,except a stat Of ignorance.
