Rogue Heroes (also mentioned in this article) currently on Prime, is another good show to check out, in regards to World War II Deception Operations. It's basically the story of how the SAS was formed. The SAS started/was formed in support of LTC Clarks British North African Deception Plan. Good story, my only complaint in regards to season one was that, it was only six episodes long.

Alot of the discussion in this article is really good - parts of history were written without knowing the actual history -- and so this covers some of those gaps. Did not know that there was a deception operation in Ethiopia that did not work and placed the Italians exactly where the British would attack.

LTC Eric Udouj - Yeah, LTC Clark said he learned a lot from the invasion of Italian Somaliland instead of Eritrea, deception Op. It was a failure, but, he learned that "the key to deception was not to make your enemy think what you wish. But to get them to do what you want." A very similar philosophy to the PSYOP Goal of not just making people feel bad about something they're doing. But, that the target audience actually change their minds and actions, due the information operation performed. I've always felt PSYOP should not only be in Information Operations, but, also Deception Operations. Not having PSYOP in this roll is a missed opportunity. It's definitely a missed Combat Multiplier having PSYOP doing mostly Info Ops. Having a great evening!!

LTC Eric Udouj You should check out Rogue Heroes. I think you'd enjoy it. There is some creative input, and artistic embellishments, as with most Hollywood endeavors. But, for the most part it's not too far off reality. Lots of good AC/DC music too.
