I was 20 years old when i arrived in Vietnam in 1968 and during that same year in October turned 21 which was the same month i was promoted to Sergeant. Spent most My year at Da Nang, got to visit places like Monkey Mountain, China Beach, Tien Shau, Marble Mountain area and plenty of other places until I left to return stateside in 1969. I got home ok but even now some of the guys I served with have already or are now dying from Agent Orange exposure. Not an experience I'll ever forget.

SMSgt Lawrence McCarter thanks for sharing a portion of your Vietnam experience. I too remember my experience on a daily basis... and at times at night.

SGT (Join to see) I spent some of my time with people who served and survived, including a POW. My father was serving at the time and on behalf of those who appreciate the sacrifice let me say to all of you, welcome Home.
